Today we’d like to introduce you to Raya Coleman.
Hi Raya, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as a stay home mom in search of something that was “for me”. I found myself in the beauty industry doing makeup demos on facebook and teaching others how to begin to learn to do makeup as I learned! I then ventured out to starting sharing more of me and what I loved like outfits, home decor and my family in everyday life on my Instagram and my Facebook.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been an uphill battle going from not knowing anything but the social media world or the beauty industry either. Everything was trail and error, learning from anywhere I could & pushing through!
We’ve been impressed with RayaHope, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The simple term for todays generation is influencer. But the long term is PR, Marketing, I do makeup tutorials and fashion hauls, I do cheeseboard and food inspo videos and home decor style tips I also have shared the home remodels on our last two homes and have shared the tips and tricks that we’ve learned along the way in my blog. So you can also add Blogger to the many facets to RayaHope Inc! I think im most well known for my beauty tutorials since I started sharing how I learned the simple ways of applying makeup that were doable for the “everyday” person! I think im most proud of how far ive come in my business that went from something just for me as a stay home mom to building a mini-empire with employees! Plus the many things ive gotten to create with the difference brands like my sunglasses The Rayz with topfoxx & more exciting things to come!
What makes you happy?
I think what makes me the most happy is providing for my family. I grew up not having much, I was one of 4 children to a father welder and a stay-at-home mom who would do many side gigs to make extra change to help provide. So now as a mother and being able to retire my husband in his 30’s and be able to take my children on dream vacations, send them to private school and other things I never would have dreamed of it makes me really happy to see them so taken care of.
