Hi Shay, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Shay’s business journey began in 2013, when her drive for independence and her passion for helping others inspired her to launch her own staffing firm from home. With a strong foundation in finance, marketing, and staffing, she quickly grew the business by leaning into what came naturally—connecting people, building relationships, and creating community. Her warmth, energy, and outgoing personality helped her form a new “village” for her family while establishing herself as a trusted leader and entrepreneur.
In 2019, Shay faced a life-altering breast cancer diagnosis. Instead of slowing her down, the experience reshaped her perspective and deepened her commitment to health, balance, and purposeful living. Emerging stronger than ever, she embraced wellness not just as a personal priority, but as a core principle she wanted to share with others.
Today, as a mother of two and a firm believer in the “work hard – play hard” philosophy, Shay continues to infuse her life with travel, culture, and joy—experiences that broaden her outlook and influence her approach to business.
What began as a homegrown staffing firm has now evolved into a new chapter: a new venture centered on health, wellness, and community. Drawing from her diverse background, entrepreneurial experience, and personal transformation, Shay is channeling her passion into building a supportive, uplifting space for others seeking balance and vitality.
She is excited to bring this mission to North County and beyond, cultivating a community focused on wellness, connection, and positive living—one empowered step at a time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Stepping into a business I had no prior experience in came with its own set of challenges—from learning an entirely new industry to understanding operations, managing new employees, and keeping up with rapidly changing technology. Every day has brought something different, and every challenge has required growth, patience, and adaptability.
What keeps me grounded is the mindset that each day is a fresh start. I show up ready to charge forward like a bull, stay focused, and make an impact—no matter what comes my way.
