Exploring Life & Business with Stacy Walker of Your CA Notary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Walker.

Stacy Walker

Hi Stacy , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started as a Notary Public in 2015. I was a single mom of 2, at the time I had one kid in college and one on his way. I was working 2 jobs and trying to help them financially as much as I could, it was tough. One of my friends suggested that I try being a mobile notary as a part-time gig. They pay well and you dont need much experience or training and you can set your own schedule. After thinking it over and using my absolute last $300 dollars for the notary seminar, online training and obtaining my credentials. I received my certifications, and I was on my way. I signed up for every Notary service out there and one day I received a call asking if I was available for a client that needed to sign ASAP. Nervously, I accepted. I took the assignment, shaking the entire way through. I had small talk with the client, before you knew it, the signing was complete. That fast, I make 75 bucks. Very quickly, my part-time gig made me more money than my full-time gig. In 2020 I made the decision to let my full-time job go and became a full-time notary/loan signing agent. By far. the best decision ever for me and my family.
Being a notary allows me the freedom & flexibility I love. I take jobs when I want. I am to take vacations. The best part is I can be available for my mother a lot more.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the beginning obtaining clients was a little rough, But I got out there, showed my face. and now I have a full schedule usually Mon-Sat. Sometimes Sunday.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Your Ca Notary is a one stop shop. I am a Mobile Notary, performing general notary services. I will come to you or meet where my clients are the most comfortable. I am also trained and commissioned to notarize real estate documents for Escrow/Title and Mortgage lenders
I can also stand in as a notary for Estate planning, Power of Attorney and much more
Last year I also became a Certified Fingerprint roller. Another source of income for my business.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I have learned that when you want to accomplish something, do not let anyone or anything stand in your way. Set your goal and crush it.
