Hi Sussie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started a small coffee business from home! I always had a passion for coffee & making my own drinks with a Mexican twist & health conscious drinks. I have a weigh-loss journey story where I lost over 100 pounds after being diagnosed with Diabetes at the early age of 19 & was also one of my biggest accomplishments! I knew I wanted to offer lower sugar & healthier alternatives to anyone struggling with their weight or that have health issues. Now thank God I’m on my way to open a small coffee shop.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Lots of small businesses owners go through rough times. Sometimes I felt unmotivated, like I wasn’t going anywhere. Like it would be easier to just quit to not feel all the stress & not following my dreams. Some days you make zero income and somehow you need to keep going.

Drinky Promise Cafecito started at my home from zero and started growing it by offering unique drinks and health conscious alternatives! I will be offering sugar free options with milk alternatives to help my community and still have great drinks!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that a lot of people don’t know about me is that I have a a huge family. I have a total of 8 sisters and only 1 brother & we are all very united & they are super supportive! We come from immigrant parents that came from Guanajuato, MX so we are very big on culture! Other things are that I did get my personal training certification after losing my weight because I wanted to help as many people as I could! I also have a YouTube channel: fitsussie, I also like to upload videos there about my life & fitness videos!
