Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Gomez.
Hi Tamara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After becoming a mother to two boys just a little over a year apart, life shifted in the most beautiful way. Motherhood opened my heart and stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. In the quiet moments after my family went to sleep, I often found myself reflecting on purpose — on how I could continue to grow, give, and care for both my family and myself in a way that felt grounded and peaceful.
One evening, while reading Discover Your Dharma by Sahara Rose, I began to think deeply about what truly brought me peace. The answer was sound. Sound has always been a healing modality for me — helping me process emotions as a child and fueling my movement practice as an adult. I remembered first learning about crystal singing bowls during a craniosacral therapy session for my son. Something about them resonated with me instantly, and that quiet curiosity stayed in the back of my mind.
Eventually, I followed that spark. A serendipitous meeting with a sound facilitator led me to my first lesson, which unfolded into a journey of meditation, presence, and connection. I began volunteering at a yoga studio once a week, sitting in on countless sound baths and absorbing the way vibration can soften, restore, and open the heart.
From that experience, She Shares Sound was born — a space to share what I had found: the calm, the clarity, and the quiet power of frequency. Today, I hold sound baths and mindful movement experiences that invite others to slow down, reconnect, and remember that healing can be as simple and profound as one breath, one vibration, one still moment.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a fairly smooth road, and one that’s unfolded slowly and organically. When I began this inward journey, I was running a local mom community, and my mom only events were well attended. I started inviting a sound facilitator to lead Mom-only sound baths — the same woman who had given me my first lesson. Over time, I began to feel a quiet pull to start offering sound baths myself — not from a place of urgency, but from a deep sense that I was ready to share what I’d been practicing and learning for years.
Finding a space to host them was the main logistical challenge, but the deeper work was internal — reminding myself to trust the skills I had developed and to stand in that readiness with grace. From the beginning, I had faith that whoever was meant to be there would show up, even if it was just one or two people. Each session felt meaningful, whether the group was small or full, because I knew I was aligned with what I was meant to be doing.
Looking back, the most valuable lesson has been the power of presence and consistency. Showing up and “trusting the process” builds something real. When your intention is pure and your heart is steady, the right people naturally find you.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
She Shares Sound offers beautifully curated, seasonal sound baths throughout North San Diego County, as well as private sound experiences for special events, gatherings, and corporate wellness offerings. Each sound bath is thoughtfully designed as a full-body experience — a true sound immersion — featuring a blend of crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums, and other healing instruments.
What I’m most known for is creating sound experiences that are approachable for everyone — whether it’s someone’s first sound bath or part of their regular self-care practice. My intention is always to create a grounded, safe, and restorative space where people can reconnect with themselves and experience the calming effects of sound in a way that’s welcoming to all and easy to connect with, even for those new to the practice.
What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is the authenticity behind She Shares Sound. Everything I do is guided by bravery, presence, and a pure intention to share light organically with others. I believe that sound healing doesn’t need to be complicated or exclusive — it’s about mindfulness, presence, intention, and simply allowing yourself to soak in the moment.
I’m available for corporate events, private sound baths, community gatherings, and seasonal offerings across North County San Diego. To stay connected and receive updates about upcoming events, you can follow me on Instagram or join my email list for exclusive invitations and special announcements.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is the power of showing up. Even though I’ve touched on this in earlier answers, it’s the one that continues to stand out the most. There will be times when you show up and no one else does — and other times when everyone does. Learning to meet both moments with the same grounded energy, and with a genuine willingness to offer something meaningful to those who do show up, has been one of my greatest teachers.
Showing up consistently, regardless of the outcome, is both an act of self-trust and a reflection of genuine service to others. It’s a reminder that alignment and growth unfold through presence, not perfection — and that each time you show up with pure intention, you deepen your purpose and strengthen your practice.
