Hi Adam, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out working for the bigger name brand plumbing companies. Then they got sold out to corporate America and it became no longer about actually helping out the customer . It became more of a for profit company. Now a days they send a sales guy out to your house and he sales the job then someone else comes out and does the repair. All that cost money that you as a homeowner has to pay. All the advertising and fancy trucks you pay for as a consumer. And then they sale you on stuff you don’t even need but it’s there greed that makes it your need. That’s why I started my own plumbing company because I want to know who I am working for and give them a good deal and have them as a customer for life. There is a reason why I’m usually half the price of the big companies with the quality of work way better. Plus you never know the experience of the person they send out since they all work under one license so they can have zero years experience and work under the companies plumbing license and be on the job practicing on your home and you would never know it. That rates to poor quality of work for overcharged jobs is despicable. I wanted to help people and I love to fix things and so that’s why I got into plumbing. I am also a homeowner and I do not like it when companies prey on us to fix stuff because we do not have the skills to do it ourselves or the licenses so I wanted to bring that to people that with all the overcharging in life something’s can still be affordable in life .
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Working for ripoff companies that would lie to people about what really needed to be done to fix there plumbing and also having owners of said companies tell me to lie to customers to charge them more! That’s one of the reasons I got laid off from a company.
