Hi Alicia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
At the height of the pandemic, I came to the realization that I wanted to do more for our community and help entrepreneurs grow their small businesses. I decided to start my own business in digital marketing to cultivate the power of paid advertising for the betterment of San Diego’s small, local businesses in order to continue to provide their products and services. My background in design also allows me to utilize my creative side to create customized branding and graphics that really speak to the business’s overall message and aesthetic. With Markana Creative, you can expect the best of both worlds – the strategic paid advertising side and the creative branding side.
Helping people is my love language, and working with small businesses and non-profits continues to be incredibly rewarding!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Running your own business certainly has its challenges, but at the end of the day, as long as you’re aligned with your mission and values, you can see great success.
With our current economic climate, it can be a challenge selling the value of marketing to small businesses, but with more businesses reducing their marketing budgets, this allows for an uptick in the digital marketing space at a more cost-effective rate (win-win for everyone!).

I run a digital marketing agency in San Diego specializing in Facebook, Instagram, and Google ads as well as branding materials to get your business noticed.
