Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started out of passion. My love for beauty + the confidence it gives to women is what drives my business. Whenever I was working at the hospital, I was always in full glam makeup with lashes on. I am formerly a medical professional – specifically a Pediatric ICU Respiratory therapist. When we talk about multi – faceted human beings that’s as about as wide as we can get LOL. I decided to quit my healthcare career in 2020 like many other medical professionals. I am so grateful for this change because honestly? Making people pretty + feel more confident for a living while listening to Glass Animals and the Weeknd is a much happier life. I opened my business immediately after graduating Esthetician School and honestly, it took off. Passion + pure love for this industry and the amazing people in it has lead me to get this far. I started my business at 29 years old. I promise you it’s never too late.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting something new is never “smooth”. But it’s just because you haven’t done it yet. I’ve fumbled many more times than I can count. But – if you’re honest about your journey + share it with other people it humanizes your brand and business. My biggest challenges came once I actually had seen success then had to restart in a new state – here in California. These struggles lead to me creating better systems and strengthen my mental game. Invest in your physical plus mental health – hire a coach to normalize your feelings and create a strong community so that you don’t feel like you’re alone. This is my biggest advice for those hard times- because they will come but you can overcome anything!
