Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Reese.
Ashley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
This whole journey started while I was enrolled in nursing school. I’ve always been called to helping people and I love making people feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, during my time in school, I slowly realized that nursing was NOT for me, and I had to find another way that I could still use my hands to help people, just in a more uplifting, fun kinda way. I immediately thought of beauty and skincare, I didn’t know everything it entailed but I was willing to check it out and learn more. Needless to say, I signed up for an orientation class at San Diego City College and the rest is history!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It most definitely has NOT been a smooth road! From thinking you know what you want to do with your life to literally having no clue, is scary to say the least. Also, being a business owner who is a: Woman, Ethnic & A first-time entrepreneur and business owner with no blueprint. Is an obstacle in itself. As long as you are grateful for the journey, have a drive and a passion deep in you, everything will work out in your favor.

Passion, Drive, Determination, and Perseverance, along with learning how to have an abundant mindset, are just a few of the characteristics that have helped me build and grow Opulent Haus of Beauty. We are still a work in progress, but I am grateful for every win and loss along the way.
