Hidden Gems: Meet Bailey Fait of Done. Project Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bailey Fait.

Hi Bailey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in the construction industry. I worked for a traveling General Contractor, building professional sports stadiums and high rise resorts. We traveled from Ohio, to Nashville, to Pennsylvania, to California. That led me to San Diego, being part of the Gaylord Pacific Resort + Convention Center project. Upon moving here, my wife started her own mental health private practice. We naturally fell in love with SD and did not want to continue moving for work. Throughout my time at the Gaylord as I neared the end of the project, I started my own construction management business where we support developers with their new construction and renovation projects in the multifamily and hospitality space. Although I eventually started my own business and still run that today, I was drawn to the idea of purchasing an existing business. One that had a great team in place and the previous owner had put their heart and soul into it. I really loved the idea of continuing a legacy like that. So in the summer of 2025 after searching relentlessly for 12 months, my partner and I found our home. We purchased an FF+E procurement firm that specializes in the procurement and install of all things interior spaces for the same groups of projects. Multifamily, hospitality and high-end residential. The team is incredible and the previous owner had set the foundation. It was now up to us to continue to grow that culture and the brand. Luckily for me, both businesses feed off of each other and can provide a very unique value to projects that not many can say they offer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Negative. With my construction management business that we started from the ground up, we had to and are still – establishing a name for ourselves. We were fortunate to have a developer put their trust in us to support their project and give us the confidence to keep going, but it has been a journey over these last 14 months of building that trust, the relationships, the differentiators and building a resume outside of our previous W2 history that allows us to gain the trust of developers. We know we have a unique offering and the experience to back it up, but going from construction site to sales and marketing was something we knew nothing about. And in this industry, like many others, relationships, integrity and trust will make or break a business. So I would say the biggest struggles were trusting the process, being patient, learning how to sell and gain trust of strangers, building our offering, educating on our services and staying within our niche.

As you know, we’re big fans of Done. Project Solutions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a construction management firm that specializes in efficient, high-quality project delivery, serving San Diego multifamily builders and hotel builders nationwide. We are an end-to-end solution, being brought on to support construction projects (both new build and renovations) from pre-construction through turning the building over.

We pride ourselves in being an ideal partner and not just a service provider. Our relentless focus on systems, communication and efficiency built around our values as people and business owners is meant to create the best possible environment and culture around a build that encourages everyone to work together.

We come from a unique background. Probably the most fast paced, high intensity and prolific projects in the construction world. We’ve built some of the nations largest buildings, one being the largest hotel at the time here in San Diego! So we take that unique experience and tailor it to every build.

Our team is also small by design. We remain agile, committed and personal. So when teams work with us, they are truly getting the partnership and results they were expecting.

I think I am most proud of exactly what i mentioned above. We have built our business around being an ideal partner. This means having to say no to people that we don’t see being a good fit long term. This also means going the extra mile and doing whatever is necessary to support those partnerships that we truly believe in and they believe in us. This has allowed us to build a business around our values and our faith. Every project is treated as if it is our own investment. We become fully integrated and invested in the success of the project.

I want readers to reach out about our services if they have any questions! We support projects in many ways and many facets, but to place it into buckets: We support projects through Due Diligence, Pre-construction and Construction. If you are ready to build, but don’t know where to start – call us. If you’ve already started the process and you are starting to feel the pressure of juggling all the intricacies of the build or need to get your time back – we’re here to help.

How do you think about happiness?
Creating opportunities for others and helping others accomplish their dreams. Money has never been a driver for me, but I love being able to use the skills and experiences God has given me to be the answer to someones prayers.

When I can solve problems, give solutions, eliminate risk, save money, or simply be a resource for someone through my business… that makes me happy. I really enjoy helping people and surrounding myself with like minded individuals that are all tracking towards the same outcome. Leading with the same values or focus. Being able to now create those environments and foster those cultures through my own business has been a blessing that I hope to continue for a long time.

There are a lot of good people out there doing really great things with big goals. People who also make it their life mission to use their business as a tool to help others. I want to be a part of that.
