Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Lopez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My earliest memory of collecting rocks was around 3rd grade, about 7 years old. I grew up on 1 acre of land in El Cajon, CA. I would explore outside and dig up all the rocks I could find. My curious mind wanted to learn all about them. I started checking out books about rocks and geology from the school library. How they were formed seemed to fascinate me. I met a teacher at my elementary school who would tumble rocks, and he began tumbling rocks for me. I would give him a bag and he would have it ready in a couple weeks. I would be so happy! I would tell my family I was going to be a “rock-ologist” when I grew up (geologist). As a child, I had no idea these “rocks” also had so many other uses and a whole metaphysical and healing side to them. As I grew older and into my teenage years I stopped collecting or at least stopped obsessing for a bit. As time passed, I experienced life, traumas, and health issues. I began a journey to heal myself, specifically holistically. I got back into collecting crystals and started educating myself on the metaphysical and healing properties. Collecting again transpired into an idea of starting a business. I thought if I don’t go for it, it will never happen. I’m naturally an entrepreneur selling many things in the past. It made complete sense to sell crystals. I’m so passionate about this product, I’m knowledgeable and it comes so naturally, I couldn’t see the downside. There is no downside.
Elevated Magic was born March of 2021. Besides my kids and my family this business is the best thing in my life. I’m completely dedicated to share the most beautiful, rare, and one-of-a-kind crystals and crystal jewelry with everyone. This brand gives me the opportunity to assist others in their healing journeys and bring love and positivity to the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are challenges every day. I’m always giving myself the pep talk, “If this was easy, everyone would be doing it.” There is always a “business” side to business. Meaning I’m not playing with crystals all day. I do have to take the necessary steps to build a legitament business in California. I formed an LLC because I have bigger dreams for the future. I’m completely self-made and invested in this business myself. Being a sole investor taught me patients really early. I’m not getting funded with large sums of money, so I had to start small and reinvest. I want to expand and have longevity, so I do have to be very careful financially. I play all roles in this business, finance, marketing, buying, etc. Mistakes are going to be made but I’m really open to this whole experience and thankful for even the bad days. I do follow my gut and always try my best in any decision I make.

Elevated Magic is a crystal business in San Diego, CA. We sell an array of Crystals and jewelry products that are intended to heal and bring positivity and high vibrations to your life. We sell through our online platform, and we are in two stores in the San Diego area. Adore Boutique in plaza Bonita Mall in Chula Vista, CA, and in San Diego’s first Sea moss store, Fuel Thy Cells, on University Ave in San Diego, CA. We participate in pop-up events throughout San Diego County. We love to go out into the communities and connect in person. You can find where we will be next on our website and Instagram. Elevated Magic specializes in crystals and minerals. From pocket stones to rare collectables to home decor pieces. I personally hand-pick every item we sell. I take pride in knowing and researching all elements of every stone we have. Some are so special and rare they have to be studied to find the rarities. I also pass my knowledge to the consumer, providing the properties of the stone they purchase. We also personal shop. Customers inquire about pieces they are interested in, and I find what they are looking for. I want Elevated Magic to be your one-stop shop for anything crystals. Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think risk-taking is necessary in life. If you’re not taking risk, I don’t think growth is possible. I want to grow and flourish as a human being, so I have to be confident in the risk I am taking. When taking risk, I don’t have a negative mindset. I do believe in the energy you give out; you will receive back. I am also a realist and I know not everything is going to be positive, but I do try to find the silver lining. Sometimes we need that experience to teach us a lesson. My biggest risk was starting this business. I didn’t know where it would lead me, but what could I lose. It was more of a risk to not start it. I want to build a future for my family, and in doing so, these risks are necessary. Again, follow your gut, and you will know the answer.
