Hi Candace Lareè, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello my name is Candace Lareè and I am CEO of Elite Estates San Diego.
I started this property management company 5 years ago after Covid forced
me to close my acupuncture clinic. Before that, my mom and I were business partners and owned an acupuncture clinic in Mission Valley. The unexpected hardship of the pandemic made it impossible to stay staffed and profitable so we unfortunately decided to close our doors in 2021. I was a single mom to my four year old son and needed to start from scratch. I have a business degree and at that point had over 10 years experience in property management and investment. I decided to start my own LLC and offer my services to property owners locally. Elite Estates is a full service property management company helping property owners place trustworthy tenants while also helping those same tenants find their dream home. I also began managing my very first Airbnb last year in pacific beach and absolutely love it. Being able to do what I love, help San Diegans protect and capitalize on their biggest assets and still care for my family is everything to me. Since 2021 I met and married my husband John and we welcomed our little girl Violette into the world in July of 2024. I couldn’t ask for a better work, life balance and I’m excited to continue growing my little business and helping as many homeowners and home seekers as I can.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business during the pandemic as a single mom after losing my business was scary and hard but I’m thankful I have an entrepreneurial spirit and I’m just crazy enough to go all in on my dreams.
