Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Guiza
Hi Carlos, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in the creative world at a very young age, with interests such as drawing and photography. From a young age I knew I would be an architect, which I do not regret. I currently have my own architecture office, where I have carried out residential and commercial projects; and I recently started teaching at the university. I have also always been interested in entrepreneurship, which is why I did an MBA, and I also have a mezcal brand called Alma Valiente.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There is no easy path if you have big goals. It has definitely been a path that has required a lot of effort, time and work, but above all patience. I think that going through all this and learning from it has led me to be the person I am today. Whenever the situation becomes difficult again, I remind myself of my initial goal.

When I graduated from university I worked in a construction company that took me to work in different cities. There came a point where I decided to start my own office among other companies. As an architect I have had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects. I have designed and built everything from gardens to complete residences. In addition to remodeling bars / restaurants and all kinds of businesses.
I love my job because I believe it influences the daily lives of my clients, and I can contribute something good to their lives.
My best strategy has definitely been to create my personal brand because that way I connect directly with my prospects.
In all my projects I prefer to use natural and simple finishes, creating elegant and harmonious environments.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Constantly overcoming challenges, knowing myself, being right with God and seeing my loved ones happy.
