Hidden Gems: Meet Dan Parker of Best Life Home Team

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan Parker.

Hi Dan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my real estate journey almost 6 years ago. Somewhere along the way, I started making video content focused on helping people relocate to San Diego from all over the US. Now my YouTube channel is one of the top resources on relocation to San Diego, and my team and I help dozens of clients buy and sell homes here every single year.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path to success in business is rarely an easy road, and my journey was no different. I failed many times trying to figure out how to add as much value to as many people as possible. I was rejected a lot, I made a lot of really crappy videos, and I spent an embarrassing amount of money trying to get “cheap leads”. Ultimately that’s what got me to where I’m at today so I’m thankful for all the mistakes that allowed me to learn and grow. Even to this day, I find myself with more growth challenges.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Our number one priority is to help people live their best life here in San Diego, and that’s through finding the right neighborhood and perfect home for each individual person and family we represent. Unlike your standard real estate agent, we are more focused on our clients’ fulfillment of their home purchase or sale, and doing everything we can to help them make the right choice. Buying and selling homes can be extremely stressful and emotional, and we strive to make that process a little bit easier through education and truly having our client’s best interest at heart.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’m constantly learning from others. First of all, my wife and I owe a lot to the Hospitality and Tourism Management program at San Diego State University. It was there where we learned how to lead others and treat everyone with a high level of service. More recently, I learn from successful agents across the country. We are lucky enough to be involved with a virtual brokerage that encourages us to collaborate with the best of the best.
