Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Lefkowitz.
Hi Emma, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Today, I lead The Barron Team, one of the top real estate teams in San Diego, where we specialize in helping families buy and sell homes with a personalized, client-first approach. My journey began by spending my weekends following my mom, Janice Barron, around San Diego showing homes and doing open houses as early as I can remember.
I joined my mom in 2004, determined to build a business grounded in relationships, just as she had over her career. As demand grew, and our business started to soar I built The Barron Team. Together, we’ve grown to a team of 30, focusing on innovative marketing, seamless systems, and a culture that supports both our clients and our agents. Along the way, I’ve learned that real estate is about so much more than houses — it’s about building trust and creating lasting impact.
Our team is rooted in our community involvement, client appreciation events, and relentless focus on service. Being recognized as one of the top teams in the nation by Tom Ferry was a career highlight, but my true fulfillment comes from seeing the difference we make in people’s lives. As we look ahead, I’m excited to keep growing, innovating, and giving back to the community that has given me so much.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. Balancing my role as a mom of three with running a full-time real estate business and leading a team has been one of the greatest challenges of my life. There were seasons where I felt like I was constantly juggling — racing from client appointments to kids’ activities — while still working to grow my business and be fully present for my team. I’ve learned that balance doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly; it’s about knowing what matters most and building your life around that. For me, that means having strong systems in my business, trusting my amazing team, and making intentional time for exercise, friendships, and my family Those rhythms keep me grounded and give me the energy to pour into both my family and my clients. It’s still a daily balancing act, but through the struggle, I’ve grown into a stronger leader, a more present mom, and a better version of myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Barron Team – San Diego Real Estate?
What truly sets us apart is our layered approach to marketing and our people-first philosophy. We combine powerful print campaigns, cutting-edge digital marketing, social media, and unforgettable client appreciation events to create massive visibility for our listings and lasting relationships with our clients. Beyond the transaction, we are deeply rooted in the community, supporting local schools, hosting neighborhood events, and giving back through charitable initiatives. One of my proudest moments was being recognized as Realtor of the Year by the San Diego Association of Realtors in 2022. But even more meaningful is the feedback we get from clients who feel cared for and celebrated throughout their journey with us. At our core, we believe buying or selling a home should be more than a transaction — it should be a memorable, joyful experience. Our motto is Work Hard, Be Kind…we try to embody that in everything we do, every day.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success isn’t just about sales or accolades — it’s about living in alignment with my values and creating a life filled with purpose, connection, and impact
