Today we’d like to introduce you to Halie.
Hi Halie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Several years ago after planning my own wedding, I started offering to help friends and family with putting together their ‘big day’. As I helped out, I noticed that unlike my experience (which I absolutely loved!), this was a stressful and arduous chore for many of them. It was then that I thought…”well perhaps this is something I can do for other folks too!” And with that, The Bridal Budget Babe was born. From the beginning, it was my goal to specifically try to support couples on a budget. I believe that you can have a wonderful, gorgeous wedding without sending yourself into debt (as long as you know the right places to focus on :)). I have thoroughly enjoyed working with clients to make this dream a reality and look forward to many more years in this industry!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, I would say it has been a pretty smooth road, which I attribute to my intentionally slow growth model. From the beginning, I have set limits to ensure I am attentive to my clients, while also maintaining a healthy balance for my family and other full-time role. I have also been incredibly blessed to work with many other incredible vendors, which always makes the job of a wedding planner and coordinator that much more enjoyable and successful!
As you know, we’re big fans of The Bridal Budget Babe. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
– I am a wedding coordinator and planner focused on serving couples with lower budgets.
– I am known for providing incredible service to my clients no matter how much they have to spend on their big day.
– I work with couples to find and identify creative solutions and alternatives that allow them to have the celebration they want at a price they can afford.
– I offer partial wedding planning and day-of-coordination as well as hourly rates for questions, templates, etc.
– Brand wise, I am most proud of the organic business that has come my way through my website (thebridalbudgetbabe.com) and my Instagram (@thebridalbudgetbabe).
How do you define success?
Success for me has always been focused on two things:
1. Did my couple stress less because of me and enjoy their wedding day as much as possible?
2. Am I enjoying my job and continuously finding joy in the service I offer?
If the answer to both of the above is yes, I consider it a success!
