Ismael, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my business during Covid in 2021. I wanted to help others heal their trauma through wellness exercises. I began leading guided meditations online via Zoom and Tik Tok Live. My main focus was using the breath and our physical body to heal. I began using crystals as a tool to accelerate our human abilities and to instill confidence in oneself.
In 2022, I began thinking about how I can tie sports into mindfulness. I love playing different sports such as basketball, tennis, disc golf, and more! I began to sell disc golf discs online and this became my blessing. I sell crystals and disc golf discs online and in person. I lead guided meditations online and in person. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has had its ups and downs. I stopped leading meditations for a year because I got a full time job serving foster youth students at a community college. I was busy at work 8am to 5pm. When I got home I began to work on packing disc golf orders. I even stopped meditating on my own time. I recently got back in to leading guided meditations and I am blessed to have led my first in-person session with a group of people in September 2024. I am getting back into meditating locally and online. I continue to play disc golf and sell discs online through Facebook Marketplace. I am grateful and beyond blessed for my entrepreneurial pursuits. They have helped me survive in California, while also pushing me out of my comfort zone.

Alt Dreamscapes focuses on healing the mind, body, and spirit through breath work, intention setting, and meditation. DG Daddies focuses on growing the sport of disc golf and providing the most affordable prices for disc golf equipment. I specialize in leading guided meditations. I lead 1-on-1 sessions and group sessions where we focus on stress, gratitude, and any emotions we are holding in our physical body. I do not have any certifications or awards for my meditations. I set myself apart by learning various teachings derived from Hinduism, Buddhism, and general Spirituality. I was able to heal some of my traumas from childhood and I pride myself in helping others heal their trauma. We are offering free online meditation sessions that last 30 minutes. Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I pride myself in being genuine and honest. I love relating to other people on a soul level. I am grateful for the national connections I have made through selling crystals/discs and leading guided meditations. I also believe flexibility is important for any business. There are always new ways to adapt and grow. I never thought I would be selling disc golf discs online. I planned to have my business be focused on spiritual healing. I never imagined that disc golf would be a sport that I would incorporate into my business. Through healing my own spirit, I realized that I can help heal others by sharing my journey. The crystals, meditations, and disc golf discs all played a role in my healing journey. I am now blessed to share these tools with other people so they can also heal their mind, body, and spirit.
