Hidden Gems: Meet Jayce Fitch of Fitch Property Management Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayce Fitch.

Hi Jayce, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up here in North County San Diego and went to high school locally before heading to UC Davis on a tennis scholarship. After graduating, I built a career in medical device and technology sales, where I held leadership roles at some of the largest corporations in the world. That chapter gave me a strong foundation in customer service, operations, and strategic growth.

Throughout that time, I always had a strong interest in real estate. I began investing in properties and working with different property managers, which opened my eyes to both the challenges and opportunities in the industry. I saw firsthand how much of a difference clear communication, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach could make—not just for property owners, but for tenants as well.

That experience ultimately led me to start Fitch Property Management Group. I wanted to create a company that reflected the level of service I would expect if I were the client. Today, we’re focused on building long-term relationships, protecting our clients’ investments, and offering a best-in-class experience for everyone involved.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a perfectly smooth road—but I think that’s true for most entrepreneurs. Starting a company from the ground up comes with its fair share of challenges. One of the biggest early hurdles was simply getting the word out and earning trust in a competitive market where many property owners already had existing relationships. Building that credibility takes time, consistency, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work.

Another challenge—especially here in California—is keeping up with the constantly evolving laws and regulations in the property management space. These laws are designed to protect both owners and tenants, which we fully support, but they change multiple times a year and can be complex to navigate. Early on, it was a lot to absorb and implement all at once. Now that we’ve built a strong foundation, we stay on top of every update by attending industry seminars, networking with peers, and regularly updating our internal policies and documentation. It’s become part of our rhythm, and it’s one of the ways we ensure we’re protecting our clients and staying compliant every step of the way.

And finally, as we’ve grown, we’ve been very intentional about maintaining the high level of service we started with. For us, it’s never been about growing as fast as possible—it’s about doing things the right way, and that means putting in the work to stay consistent, responsive, and hands-on with every property we manage.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fitch Property Management Group is a full-service residential property management company serving North County San Diego. We specialize in managing single-family homes, condos, and small multi-unit buildings for property owners who want peace of mind and reliable results. Our mission is simple: treat every property like it’s our own and deliver the kind of service we’d want if we were the client.

What really sets us apart is our responsiveness and personal touch. We guarantee a one-business-day response time for all non-emergency requests and pride ourselves on consistent communication, transparent reporting, and a hands-on approach. Whether it’s onboarding a new property, coordinating maintenance, or working with tenants, we’re involved and accessible every step of the way.

We use licensed, modern property management software that gives both owners and tenants access to everything they need—from financial statements to maintenance requests—anytime, anywhere. Owners get timely monthly disbursements and detailed reporting, while tenants benefit from easy rent payment options, fast maintenance follow-up, and a team that genuinely cares about their living experience.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the reputation we’re building. We’re not trying to be the biggest company—we’re focused on being the most dependable, most responsive, and most trusted. Our brand stands for integrity, communication, and partnership. Whether you’re an owner or a tenant, you should feel supported, heard, and taken care of.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, our focus is on steady, intentional growth. We’re continuing to expand our portfolio in North County San Diego, but we’re doing it in a way that ensures we never lose the personal touch we’re known for. That means growing our team thoughtfully, strengthening our internal systems, and always keeping client service at the core of everything we do.

We’re also looking forward to deepening our involvement in the local community. One of the unique things about our business is that we’re constantly in touch with people—property owners, tenants, vendors, neighbors—and we see that as an opportunity to enrich lives beyond just managing homes. Whether it’s supporting local causes, connecting people with resources, or simply being a kind and reliable presence, we believe our day-to-day work can have a meaningful impact. That’s something we want to continue leaning into as we grow.

No huge overnight changes, but a lot of intentional steps forward. We’re building something to last—and that means making smart, sustainable moves that benefit our clients, our community, and everyone we interact with.
