Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Harper.
Hi Jordan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started being an artist after I accepted and understood how different I am from the average person. I realized at some point that no matter how alone I felt in my specific unimaginable endeavors, there’s at least one person in this world who can relate. I wanted to become a voice for the people like me who are scared to use their voice and speak up for what they want in life. I am where I’m at today because I have no choice at this point none other than to fulfill my dharma/karma and play my role by keeping my heart open and being here now.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s definitely always a bumpy ride. Not getting a lot of sales, hardly gaining any traction, not being able to name a person who sees the vision of the brand who isn’t your friend or family member. I’ve learned that obstacles are indeed a blessing and are necessary to any process as you can see where you are compared to where you started.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
MisunderstoodSoulsCo, our business is all about promoting a message whether it be through our clothing and music. The message we want to spread throughout the world is You’re Never Alone because even though you may feel alone, there’s a whole world of people who go through the same exact or very similar situations we all go through on a daily basis. We hope to appeal to those who get drawn in by art so they may find a sense of comfort as well. Our purpose in existing is to one day provide resources to those who feel misunderstood, misrepresented, those who don’t feel welcome in their own communities or even homes. One day, we aim to create resource centers where we can provide resources such as mental therapy, yoga/meditation classes, potential art classes (very therapeutic), stress/anger management, and many many more things that will help the youth of this world become the best versions of theirselves.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the weather, scenery, how much land there is to explore, overall, just an actual chill place to be at. I don’t have any dislikes besides the downtown parking situation which I still have compassion for.
