Today we’d like to introduce you to Loni Dayan.
Hi Loni, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
This story is for anyone who feels unfulfilled, uninspired, or stuck in a career that no longer feels aligned.
In 2017, I was living in Philadelphia, the city I was raised in, and I felt deeply unfulfilled and bored as an accountant.
At the same time, my curiosity about yoga, psychics, and spirituality was growing.
I remember walking into work many days thinking, This can’t be all there is to life.
The monotony and boredom were beginning to outweigh my fear of change. My spirit CRAVED something different.
So, I started applying for jobs at a prestigious consulting firm. After making it through three phone interviews, they flew me out to Chicago.
While I was there, meeting my potential coworkers and touring the offices, something felt off. I didn’t really want the job.
And, as the dramatic person that I am, I quit my current job before I even received an offer because I knew that if it wasn’t this, it had to be something else.
Luckily, the company rejected me.
I say luckily because, had they offered me the position, I probably would have begrudgingly accepted it—even though deep down, I knew it wasn’t right for me.
Looking back, this was a significant fork in the road in my life.
Sometimes I wonder what the Chicago timeline would have looked like. But I am so profoundly grateful that I chose a different path: I decided to move to San Diego.
I picked a date, told everyone I was moving, and committed to it.
I had no apartment.
No job.
No plan.
And somewhere within the first few hours of my drive to San Diego, I had a thought:
What if I fail?
And immediately, another thought came through:
I will NEVER allow myself to think that thought again. I will succeed. This will work.
That’s when I started to become aware that our thoughts shape our reality.
My entire journey to San Diego just felt right.
I immediately started meeting people who were also looking for roommates. Everything felt harmonized and aligned in a way that the Chicago job opportunity never had.
Within two months, I had found my favorite roommate to date AND the best job I’ve ever had—working at a surfboard company.
So now, whenever you get rejected in life, I encourage you to see it differently.
Rejection isn’t a dead end.
It’s a fork in the road leading you toward something more fulfilling.
Ever since I began exploring spirituality, I have LOVED talking about manifestation. I think it’s fascinating to explore how it works and what becomes possible when we start believing more deeply in ourselves and our own power.
I never set out to become a life coach and there is SO much more to my story than this.
But eventually, I found myself posting on TikTok, simply talking about the things that genuinely excited me: spirituality and manifestation.
Pretty quickly, I started seeing demand from people who wanted more support manifesting new jobs and creating change in their careers.
My very first client actually came to me because I simply asked the universe to send me someone.
There was no long, complicated manifestation process.
A few days later, I received a message from someone who was interested in working with me but was hesitant to book.
Without much thought—and with complete detachment from whether or not she actually became a client—I told her:
“If you receive unexpected money in the next couple of days, that’s your sign.”
A few days later, she received an unexpected $500 bonus from work.
That experience has always stayed with me because it reminds me of the power we all hold.
Our mind is our most valuable resource.
Sometimes manifestation can be as simple as asking once and allowing.
Other times, it gets a little more complicated because we’re holding tightly to beliefs that contradict what we’re calling into our lives.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My mom died from breast cancer when I was 12. My dad doesn’t have a nurturing bone in his body.
Each struggle I’ve experienced has given me more compassion and a deeper understanding of human suffering. I’m grateful to be the person I am today—independent, strong, and determined—but that growth and perspective didn’t happen overnight.
My biggest struggle has always been my own mind.
The belief that I could be unworthy or unlovable.
Not believing in myself in certain moments.
Being so destructive and critical toward myself that I became completely paralyzed.
There were moments when I would find myself hysterically crying, unable to see a way forward.
But over time, I learned to bear with it. To have faith that there is more. That there are other ways to see ourselves, other ways to see others, and other possibilities available to us.
Day always comes after night.
And that’s what makes this journey so beautiful: the evolution of opening up and becoming free to be our true, authentic selves.
I don’t think I could truly help people without understanding where they are on their journey. Because I have suffered, I understand pain.
I know what it feels like to think there’s no way forward and then, somehow, the universe opens up a new path.
And I love helping other people find their strength because I believe that when we lift each other up, we create a more beautiful world—one rooted in peace, compassion, and kindness.
As you know, we’re big fans of Girl Make The Move. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I help women manifest their dream careers.
But I’m a little different from other manifestation coaches because I like to have fun with my clients.
We manifest things like… blue ducks.
I know. Sounds random.
But one day, I found a tiny blue duck on the floor of my car. I immediately felt inspired to make a video telling whoever saw it to ask the universe to send them a blue duck as a sign.
At this point, I’ve had countless clients tell me they booked a session with me because they got their blue duck.
So, you could say the universe is my sales and marketing team.
Over the past year and a half, my content has received more than 40 million views, with people sharing stories about manifesting unexpected money, new jobs, new relationships, and so much more.
I work with people 1:1, host group workshops, and continually evolve my offers based on what I feel guided to create.
I genuinely LOVE what I do.
I love empowering people.
I love reminding people who the F they are.
And ultimately, I want to see a world filled with more authentic, happy, compassionate people who are thriving—and creating lives that actually feel good to live.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’ve taken many risks in my life.
The first big risk I took that completely freaked everyone out—especially my dad—was traveling to Thailand alone to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training for a month.
Since then, I’ve traveled to more than 20 countries, mostly by myself.
And almost everywhere I’ve gone, someone has told me:
“That’s so dangerous. Don’t do it.”
But it made me start asking myself a question:
Do you really want to live a life where you’re constantly being told what you should and shouldn’t do?
When I kept hearing warnings about how “dangerous” different countries were, I started to realize something:
Most people are simply repeating what they’ve heard.
They haven’t experienced these places firsthand. They’re passing along someone else’s fear.
And I don’t want to live my life inside a cage built from hearsay.
Because when you live primarily from fear, your spirit starts to suffocate.
You begin to play smaller.
You second-guess yourself.
You sabotage the things you actually want.
And eventually, your joy and excitement start to feel muffled.
So I want to ask you:
What has your spirit been yearning for?
And what would happen if you simply decided to go for it?
You don’t have to know exactly how everything will work out.
You just have to make the decision and take the first step.
Because once you do, things have a way of unfolding.
The right people appear.
The right opportunities find you.
The next step becomes clearer.
You start realizing that you are far more supported than you thought.
And somehow, it all begins to line up in the most magical way.
It always does.
