Hidden Gems: Meet Myles Davis of Get Fit With Myles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myles Davis.

Hi Myles, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started as a college student taking classes in the morning and training clients through the day. I turned it into a career where I enjoyed spending my day helping people break the limits that they set for themselves, both physically and mentally. When the pandemic hit the corporate gym that I worked closed and I was left to figure it out. I then made my own training business “Get Fit with Myles” and began working with clients both 1:1 in-person & online.

I was then offered the fortunate opportunity to partner with Inspire Fitness, an equipment and online video workout provider. For their app, I write and record intensive fitness programs for both their Live and OnDemand audience. I have four workout series currently for their application, “Cable Crushers”, “Guerro Gainz”, “DB Domination”, and “Beyond Measure”. With another coming soon working on my fifth yet to be titled project.

I also have gotten endorsements from Hylete fitness apparel line as well as for the Inspire App where I have happily been able to represent and model for brands.

What keeps me going is knowing that if you keep your head down you’ll never see how bright the path you’re walking actually is. You can be your own light in every situation because no matter what, you’ve already conquered what you said you couldn’t before.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’d say it’s had its speed bumps but nothing has or will slow me down. That’s to say that I have had my stumbles along the way and made errors but I’m always aware of the fact that you can learn from any experience and grow from it. When I reflect on times I felt held back or could have done better, I see the part I had in it. Whether it was procrastination or quitting an idea before putting it to practice, I learned that an obstacle is just something that you breakthrough.

As you know, we’re big fans of Get Fit With Myles. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is a personal training and online program provider. I train clients 1:1 in person, online, and through customized programming, providing services not only for my clients but also for the Inspire Fitness app. My goal when people come to me is to reward their trust with my best efforts, helping them break past any barrier and gain confidence in themself and in the gym.

My specialty is strength, conditioning, and physique, Working hand in hand with clients to not only feel strong but look at it as well. We push the mindset that there is no “can’t”, only something you haven’t done, and trial and error is a natural part of progression, in lifts and life.

What I’m most proud of is the joy that clients have shared with me when it comes to their results. One specific example is of a past client, Nathian. He originally came to me as a diabetic with an A1C of 8.7. With fresh eyes when it came to the gym, he came to me and said that he needed to make a change. We started from ground zero and worked our way from there to him losing 50 lbs, his A1C dropping to 5.2, and him no longer being considered diabetic. Helping people get in shape and reach a healthy and sustainable life is a reward in itself.

When we train together, be prepared to push yourself. Life is about progressing and that’s how we workout. What was hard becomes easy, and then we conquer our next challenge. I want to help you get to where you want to be.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
When it comes to nutrition, I got my start at an early age. Similar to the long forgotten Disney movie “Eddie’s Million Dollar Cook-off”, from pastries and baked goods, to soul food by my late grandmother’s side, I was in the kitchen by the time I was hitting double digits in age, long before I considered picking up a weight. I carried my interests further, working by a chef’s side during my freshmen year of college, a highly educational and shaping experience.
