Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Reader.
Hi robin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our neighbor Theresea Berwager had started a small estate sale hobby business. She employed my mother-in-law Lori Green. They had fun with antiques dolls and small old fashion sales. Getting older the founder moved back east and decided to sell the business.
I did not want to see her lose her job that she loved and wanted to see what could be done.
I was working computer and various tech jobs but came from a background of retail business. Came up with a business plan to purchase and take over to work as a family team.
As a family we purchased and took over Annas attic estate sales in 2016 and have taken the business to new heights. Over the past years we are always growing and learning.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting off small was rough. In a somewhat new industry getting leads and customers are hard.
Estates sales are an unknown thing to most people and showing them how we have a great shopping experience is fun for a lot of people to learn about.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Anna’s attic estate sales?
We like the old timey family business theme. We try and keep an old world farm vibe that can handle just about anything.
We setup up at a different house every week where we liquidate the contents to the public. Always different stuff in a different house never knows what we are going to come across.
We want our customers to feel at home and our employes love what they do.
What matters most to you?
Doing a good consistent job.
I like to provide a reliable service in a hard situation.
So many people are not sure what to do after a loved one dies and we can really be there to help. So many people dont know about our services or what we do.
When we see a hoarder home go from wall to wall mess to an empty clean home that gets sold it feels very refreshing.
