Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Bugbee.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I learned to fy a plane in my mid 20’s and ran a flight school soon after that. That was my first experience with running a business. Over time, I was a corporate trainer for Jenny Craig, owned a restaurant in California, and then became a Real Estate Agent. I have been licensed in Florida, Texas, and California. I became a successful Realtor and ran my own company for over 25 years. I raised two amazing daughters who now live in Oceanside and Oregon. Being a single mom and having to start a new Real Estate career was challenging so I hired a business coach. She is my hero and helped me become successful while still honoring my values of being a mom and hanging out with my kids. Now I give back. I have been coaching Realtors, Lenders, and other business owners such as a roofer, landscaper, social media company, director of a restaurant chain, and many managers for various corporations. Leadership skill is crucial as well as marketing, sales, retention, hiring, customer service, referrals, and finances. I am a licensed coach. My certifications are PCC and CPCC. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many bumps along the way, I went through a divorce. I raised two teenagers. I had to work through learning how to handle my finances and run a business. Mindset is so important and many times my mindset was OFF. Fear is a huge roadblock. Working through fear and imposter syndrome was key to my confidence and my value of continuously bettering my craft. Struggles are to be expected! Covid was a huge one!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I have been a business coach for 10 years and many more years as a business owner. I pride myself on coaching business owners to success. I am so proud of my testimonials. What I am known for is customizing my clients ‘roadmap.’ Coaching is not a one size fit all plan. Everyone has different struggles and lifestyles and I take the time to listen and plan with each client what would work best. I am not here to keep them in their comfort zone – moving forward is crucial – and yet, everyone has their own speed. I am direct and when a client asks for accountability – I give it. Being understanding and compassion is important too – listening is a must. And when there needs to be push – I will nudge gently. I am committed to my clients and their goals. Sometimes more than my clients. I am proud that so many of my clients are now out of debt, growing profitable real estate teams, getting their promotions, etc. I offer one-to-one coaching. Group coaching and many workshops.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
Yes. I read a lot of books and take many coaching classes. I also assist in many coaching classes. I listen to coaching podcasts, financial podcast, and anything that will help my clients. I am in mastermind groups with other coaches. I give my clients resources to listen to podcasts, read books, and encourage them to better their craft. Most importantly I keep an eye on their self-care and rest.
