Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Padilla.
Hi Vanessa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My brow journey began in 2019. I started my career as a licensed esthetician in a casual spa where the most requested service were eyebrows. I never realized how important brows were until clients started telling me their horror stories about their experiences with different brow techs. That made me want to extend my knowledge and get as much education as I could to perfect every brow I worked on. I not only master in brow waxing, but I also do brow threading! As time went on, I decided to extend my services and offer a variety of services. I now offer Facials, Lash extensions, and body waxing. My top priority, aside from my performance, has always been to provide a welcoming atmosphere to all of my beauties. It’s important to me that every client receives a professional and clean service. My name Vbrows came from my name (Vanessa), and my absolute favorite service to perform Brows!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My answers: All businesses have challenges, and mine has not been the exception. My first and toughest challenge was having a business partner. Before Vbrows, I had another beauty business in which I had a partnership. I had no previous knowledge in business; all I knew was how to be an esthetician. Six months after opening the business the property manager told us we had to leave the building due to conflict of interest. My partner and I had to go through mediations and attorneys. During that process, my partner and I had many disagreements and couldn’t come to an agreement on what step to take next for our business. Which led us to decide that the best decision was to go our separate ways. I will forever be grateful for this experience, though, because I learned how to manage and overcome the challenges that come as a business owner.
