Today we’d like to introduce you to Jana Ann.
Hi Jana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started as a young girl, I’ve been sketching big gowns not anything small or any other else. I felt like a princess in my own princess movie, like I’m in my own fairytale.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning, I wanted to study Fashion design but my parents did not allow me. They thought I can’t make a living as an artist. So they made me study Engineering. When I was free to make decisions, I studied fashion design when I finished my Engineering Degree.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My career in the US, started in my experience in bridal fashion week in New York. From that very first show, US bridal market recognized my work. As Wedding dress designer I was known haute couture world. What sets us apart from others is that we still carry tradition of hand-made beadwork, my couturiers that’s part of my team had minimum of more than 20 years’ experience concentrated on just beadwork. There’s so much love in our designs as it is hand-made with so much love. When I think of the bride who is going to wear it, till her first perfect fitting, the happiness in her eyes when she wears that perfect wedding dress, her happiness is a dream realized, it is my Dream. As to our bridal appointments, we do a one on one in depth interview about their “dream” wedding dress. I specialize in Plus Size, Petite size and if bride wants to design her own Wedding dress, we also offer custom. If bride has her own Dream Dress in mind, I can make that Dream Dress come true. Now, we just launch our online store for affordable Collection of Wedding Dresses and eveningwear for mother of the bride, bridesmaids and we can say it is comparable to our couture as we still use really great fabrics and beading, they can purchase dresses online at janaanncouture.com.
