Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Beamon.
Hi Bethany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
From a young age, I exhibited spiritual gifts. Mediumship, psychic abilities, And the ability to look into people’s Akashic records. (I could look at somebody and see if they were up to good or not; I could see what they were going through and where it came from)
Being raised in very strict Pentecostal Christianity. This was frowned on, and many times, I was called a witch or prayed over for working in witchcraft.
I was forced on multiple three-day fasts with no food and only water when I was just a young growing child, as young as 11, and I would have to stay on the altar and pray for length of time.
It came a time where my psychic abilities were so strong. I begin speaking out, “Something is wrong here; something is wrong with the authority, and this church won’t be here for long.”
The Pastor put up a number on the wall of how many souls he wanted in the church, and I told him, “That would never happen.”
I was excommunicated, not allowed to talk to my mother, my father, my brother, or anybody in the church, which were the only people I knew because in this church, we weren’t even allowed to talk to anybody who wasn’t “saved.”
It came to a point where I couldn’t even give my mother a Christmas present unless I submitted to the pastor.
Come to find out that my psychic hearings were true.
That pastor was raping people, taking their money, and doing all type of terrible things behind our backs.
It came to the point where me, and some other women who were abused, had to go to the head of the Pentecostal churches in Ohio, and because of other proof that was submitted that preacher lost his license, and the church was closed.
Even though this journey was thoroughly horrible it intrigued me…
How did I know what was gonna happen?
How can I use this to my advantage?
And this propelled me on my journey to metaphysics and all of its beauty of lost gifts that we naturally have but have put down because of lack of knowledge and practice.
After I healed myself through metaphysics from all of the crud of my past, I opened up and began seeing the world differently.
I feel like in some religions, we are taught to be so divisive.
When we let that go, we see that love, unity, and truth are king, and only through those, regardless of what God you serve, can we come together and change the world.
I asked the universe what would be my place and my part in all of this, and out of it came the comfort cottage coffee cart.
It seemed like such a small thing to do.
But God reminded we are all pieces of thread in a large tapestry. If you remove your small piece, the picture will never be complete.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I say the biggest obstacle was getting over myself. Getting over the fear of failure, and the fear of success, the fear of embarrassment, and the fear of ego explosion from too much praise.
There was the fear of starting and going broke and the fear of never starting.
Fear had me paralyzed for a very long time.
Also, the time it took to mature enough to be ready to go forward with my business plans was very hard for me to endure, and I didn’t understand a lot of the reasons why things were taking so long weren’t moving forward.
I would look around and see everybody gliding through life with so much purpose. It took me a while to accept the fact that some seeds take longer to sprout than others.
Some flowers take months to bloom.
And some fruit trees take years to bear fruit.
But in most cases, these are the most valued.
There was a humility and a peace in excepting the time it took for things to come together.

The Comfort Cottage is a metaphysical-themed coffee cart that focuses on positive energy service and introducing people to alternatives to the high levels of caffeine in coffee, for example, mushroom coffee, chai lattes, half caffeine lattes, herbal tea, etc. It is my belief that a lot of the anxiety that the world is suffering from is a part of our diet. Coffee is one of the number one beverages in the world.
We know now that with too much consumption comes anxiety, irritability, nervousness, insomnia, and many other unhealthy conditions.
So, we want to try to introduce the world to healthier ways to get a “pick me up” without the crash and the side effects.
We also sell metaphysical products like chakra candles, color healing cards with positive messages, and other love-infused trinkets.
I think with sets my business apart from most is that everyone that works within the comfort cottage has to have some form of energy healing certificate.
Why? Who do we think we are you might ask?
Well, since Metaphysics is the study of reality and existence, who we are, and what our purpose is, I know that people who have studied these areas have very high empathy and emotional intelligence, care about people, and know the importance of positive service.
I myself have several Reiki and energy healing certificates, and I am also working on my degree in metaphysical science.
You can also sign up for energy, healings, readings, and Reiki from local practitioners in the area.
QR codes will be placed on the side of every cart so people can share their art, music, etc.

Well-being a spiritual person, I don’t really believe in good or bad luck. I just believe in good or bad karma and good or bad energy. I’ve had a lot of bad karma in my life from things that I’ve done and things that people have done to me that I could’ve handled in a better way.
It is my strong belief that this “bad.”
Propelled me into a journey of seeking higher knowledge.
It is this higher knowledge that has led me to start my unique business at this opportune time.
