When I was a kid, my cousin and I spent our summers painting curbs to make money for candy, toys, and anything else 13-year-olds could want. After college, I moved to North Park and noticed many curbs in my area lacked address numbers. So, I started asking my neighbors if I could paint their curbs.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, and I soon realized there was a real demand for this service. That’s when I decided to turn it into a business.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Starting out, we faced several challenges. One of the biggest struggles was marketing our services. At first, it was tough to get the word out and convince people of the value of having their address painted on their curb. We had to rely on door-to-door canvassing and word-of-mouth referrals, which took a lot of time and effort.
Another challenge was managing the growing demand. As our business started to take off, we needed to hire more team members and train them quickly to maintain the quality of our work. Balancing rapid growth while ensuring customer satisfaction was definitely a learning curve.
Despite these struggles, the journey has been incredibly rewarding. Overcoming these challenges has made our team stronger and more resilient.
