Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie Walkrich
Hi Charlie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Charlie Walkrich is a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur, filmmaker, music composer, producer, singer, keyboard player, drummer and DJ based in San Diego, CA. In the summer of 2010, Charlie moved to the USA from Ukraine to pursue the American dream. When Charlie realized that the average cost of hiring a professional wedding videographer in Southern California is so high, he simply couldn’t believe it. He set a goal to create an affordable wedding videography service that would offer a great value for a budget-friendly price. So, in addition to actively pursuing his music career, he started several event services brands including Walkrich Signature Events, Golden Gate Sunrise Entertainment, Golden Wedding Photos, Golden Wedding Videos, San Diego Sound and Lighting, San Diego Video Production Company, Cheap Wedding Videography, Dirt Cheap Wedding Photography and Cheap Event Lighting Rental. Over the years, his businesses have become very successful servicing a number of celebrities, small businesses, large corporations, politicians and private citizens.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
To make a long story short, if I had known everything I’d have to face after coming the United States, I honestly don’t know if I’d still make the same decision. Sometimes I was literally hungry and couldn’t even afford a decent meal. But, because of my strong desire to make it and the support I got from my family and friends, somehow I was able to get through those difficult times. And now, of course, I’m happy and grateful for the opportunity to enjoy my life here. I really would like to take a moment to thank everyone who supported me. Without your help I’d probably be back in Ukraine now so I can’t stress enough how grateful I am.

So, when I was growing up in Ukraine, which a beautiful county, despite that, I was always crazy about everything that had to with the United States. I loved a lot of American music, movies, cars, humor, culture, business values, etc.
