Hi Cristal, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am the Chief Marketing Officer for JV Marketing Technologies, LLC, which is a consulting software and marketing company. Ever since I began my marketing career, I always wanted to work for an innovative technology company. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, Dr. Sylvester Raymond, and he offered me to work in his company and began my innovative journey with JVMT ™.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worthy will have a smooth road, however, is it worth it? My answer to that is yes. My background for the past several years has been in small business marketing which is very different than what I am currently doing. Innovation companies like JV Marketing Technologies™ are the first of their kind to create something new, so our team has to test and figure out what will potentially work with the market we have. However, that is what also makes it fun because there are so many avenues to test new marketing techniques.

JVMT, is a start-up company that focuses on inclusion, diversity, and gender equality. This company created the only mobile phone application in the world that solves everyone’s problems. As the CMO, I mainly specialize in branding and marketing execution and overseeing the marketing projects. I am known to come up with outside box ideas to promote the products or services for our clients.

Most of this success is due to our leader CEO, Dr. Sylvester Raymond, who has been an instrumental leader by molding leaders, like me, to become the best version of themselves. Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I have learned with JVMT ™ is how essential it is to have a supportive team behind you. I am very fortunate to have a great leader and mentor like Dr. Raymond who genuinely cares for his staff. Aside from the technical side, we are humans, and balance is required in order to keep providing quality work. There is no “I” in a team so allowing my team to help me and receiving that help has been a big lesson for me.
