Inspiring Conversations with Dangerous Ginger of Unapologetic Sex With DG

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dangerous Ginger.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The thing is my path to where I am today is not quite what I expected. I started as a psychiatric nurse specializing on addiction issues and I was living in Pennsylvania. I got an opportunity to move to South Carolina, which I couldn’t refuse. When I got there, I took a hiatus from nursing and pursued my modeling career, which I had started doing two years prior at the behest of my director friend. When I wasn’t getting enough work, I decided to do online adult content creation. It was mostly successful and when I did go back to nursing, I still continued the content creation because it made me smile and I got to educate people on sexual through turning them on, which is fun. Fast forward two years. My partner and I move to California then I move to San Diego on my own. I keep doing my adult content creating with Nursing. Then I heard an episode of Ologies with Alie Ward, her episode on Sexology and I just knew, knew that that was what I should be doing. Fast forward two more years and four nursing jobs later, I get let go. I decide to move forward with my dream of owning my own business and I start the UMich Sexual Counseling Certification Program and begin my journey as a sexual health coach. I have been a coach for two years now, I started my podcast as well, Unapologetic Sex With DG Podcast, as a way to spread sexual health education information that is from a sex-positive and adult creation destigmatization and decriminalization point of view. I have been so lucky to be able to interview so many sexual health providers and adult providers. I love helping live their most unapologetic life because learning to love myself as a Non-Binary, Queer, Polyamorous person with many invisible chronic illnesses, it has not been easy.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, It has not been a smooth road. I am a survivor of child sexual abuse and a rape, domestic abuse survivor. I also have bipolar disorder with mixed states and PTSD. All these factors have been a part of my journey becoming a queer sexual health coach. I have been to three different states, I have worked and been let go from multiple registered nursing jobs. I have been lucky with having a strong support system, my partners, my family and my friends have been able to keep me going when I just wanted to stop or give up. I have struggled with addiction, mine were alcohol and self-harm, I am happy to say I am four years sober from alcohol and five years sober from self-harm. Each time I lost my job, I used to see it as my failure, however; after starting my own business has taught me that those failures as a message that I need to pivot and change. Which is what I have done! Plus, I cannot give enough credit to have been able to go to therapy to help recover from the abuse and Trauma I suffered when I was younger.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a sexual health and relationship coach. I specialize in Queer Sexual health, BDSM, polyamorous relationships, those with desire discrepancies and gender identity issues. I encourage people to become their most authentic self through sex and sexuality. I want those I help to live people unapologetically within the confines of a society that pushes conformity. I am a nonbinary adult content creator who is active in the kink and bdsm community and am polyamorous.

I am constantly learning and gaining insight on things that occur with the sexuality field.

Through my podcast of the same name, I get to interview that most amazing people, Those in the sexuality field or those just living their most unapologetic life through their sex or sexuality. With the podcast, I provide a free queer sexual health education and give storytime episodes.

I have a Patreon for anyone wishing to support the podcast.

For my coaching, I offer FREE 45 minute exploration calls to see if I am the coach for them! I currently have three programs available!

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
So many things! Though my latest happiness is found in the fact, I love to read, usually stories that based in mystical land or impossible worlds with characters having to survive through intrigue or bravery. I love being lost in someone else’s mind through the words of a book and letting my imagination wander over the possibilities of what could be or what may be going on in another world.
