Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel & Brittany Larson.
Daniel & Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are high school sweethearts who always dreamed of working together and found real estate to be such a fun avenue to do that. We first got our start by renovating and designing a falling over bungalow in Dallas and turned it into an Airbnb hotspot. We quickly found our passion for meeting new traveling friends and hosting them in our place that we passionately created. In 2018, we made the move to San Diego, our dream city, where we fell in love with San Diego real estate. We began creating more successful short-term rentals and designing spaces that are bright, clean, and inviting. Brittany is a real estate agent with Turner Real Estate and turned her passion of finding places with potential into helping others find their dream homes too. Brittany is a hard-working, driven planner that has an eye for design and potential. Daniel is a friendly problem-solver who always goes above and beyond and makes everyone feel special and as an added bonus, he’ll always leave you cracking up. We’ve found our skills together make the perfect team. You can typically find us walking with our two boys to our favorite local coffee shops, playing at the beach, or touring our next potential flip. We pride ourselves in not only being relatable and real but will do whatever it takes, whenever, wherever to make sure we get our clients and guests the dream home and experience they’ve always wanted.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road– we both quit our full-time careers to pursue this dream of working together. We sold our house in Dallas to follow our San Diego dream. When COVID hit, we found ourselves with totally wiped out calendars in less than 24 hours. Everything we had worked so hard and sacrificed for was gone so quickly. With a 4 month-old baby in the Spring of 2020, we had to make a difficult decision to shut down two of our short-term rental properties in order to sell. Thankfully, the market was strong that summer and it ended up being a great time to sell, which led to more real estate opportunities. When one door closes, another door opens, right? We strongly believe that when you have the opportunity to take a leap into San Diego real estate that you should. It’s an incredible investment that we’ve seen not only pay off but make a way for more dreams and opportunities.
