David J, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
How the idea of a becoming a business man started:
When i was attending El Cajon Valley High School back in 09′-14′ i had a hard time focusing and a hard time passing my classes. This came from being a typically teenage and hanging around the wrong crowd. One day during a Spanish elective class the teacher asked me, “David, what do you plan to do for yourself in the future?” Being a cocky teenage i responded, “Im going to be a rich businessman,” The teacher looked at me and not like the rest of the teachers i had she responded, “I believe in you and you can achieve that goal but you have to work hard.” This stuck with me to this day, since graduating high school i have owned 2 small businesses that i eventually sold off and put myself through HVAC Trade school. In that school i met an amazing Teacher that really gave it his all and really showed us what HVAC can do for us. Before I graduated trade school, my wife and I had the news that we had a baby boy on the way and that lit a fire in me that made me realize i now have to create something for my family. So i started working in the hvac trade as a “helper” aka “tool grabber” aka “duct runner.”fast forward to 2 years later i became a field operations manager and learned the admin side of this business and i knew that this was something i could definitely do and i could do it better. I studied and got my contractors license, i found a great mentor who has been by my side throughout this whole process and now here we are today, Fresh Coast Heating and Air Conditioning was created.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Fortunately, i did not face struggles during my process of becoming a business owner. I dedicated alot of time educating myself through youtube and asking other business owners alot of questions and asking for advice.

Fresh Coast Heating and Air Conditioning is a business that provides maintenance, service and repair at an affordable rate. We also specialize in residential, commercial and new construction installations. We are currently working along side many San Diego native construction companies that are building new ADU’s, Apartments and homes all over san diego county. Our mission with Fresh Coast Heating and Air Conditioning is to be bring authenticity, honesty, affordability and quality. We are not pushy sales men we pride ourselves in our honesty and we stand by the motto of “Your trusted source for heating and cooling solutions.”
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Treat each client like family because family takes care of family and the rest falls into gods plan. This is my biggest lesson i have learned, this means the most to me because thankfully alot of my work has came from word of mouth and thats just because we build those relationships.
