SD Funrunners began with a simple idea: Life is short…experience it well. We wanted to create an experience that would bring people together to enjoy San Diego’s beautiful waterfront in a fun, easy, affordable, and unforgettable way. What started as a passion project—just a couple of friends cruising the bay on a Duffy boat—quickly grew into something more. Locals and tourists alike are drawn to the laid-back atmosphere, scenic views, and the opportunity to create lasting memories on the water.
We have a deep love for the ocean, adventure, and our community, and want to share it with everyone! SD Funrunners was built on the belief that fun should be simple, accessible, and shared. Whether it’s a birthday, date night, team outing, memorial at sea, or just an afternoon on the water, we offer the perfect way to unwind and celebrate life—one cruise at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting SD Funrunners wasn’t always smooth sailing. Like any new venture, we faced our share of challenges—from navigating the complexities of operating a business on the waterfront to finding the right ways to connect with our community, build trust, and establish our brand. There were moments of uncertainty, learning curves, and unexpected hurdles along the way.
But through it all, our passion for sharing San Diego’s stunning waterfront and bay and creating joyful experiences kept us moving forward. Every challenge taught us valuable lessons, making us stronger and more dedicated to delivering the best fun and memorable experiences on the bay.

SD Funrunners is a San Diego-based company that offers private boat charters and tours on San Diego Bay. We offer scenic cruises aboard eco-friendly electric Duffy boats, making them perfect for small groups, couples, or solo travelers seeking a relaxed and intimate water experience. Cruises start at $49 per person and feature picturesque views of the San Diego Bay, the skyline, top tourist destinations along San Diego Harbor, Coronado Island, and the Coronado Bay Bridge.
In addition to leisure cruises, SD Funrunners also offers specialized packages for events such as engagements, elopements, micro-weddings, and memorials at sea. Each boat can accommodate up to 10 guests, and pricing includes the services of a licensed captain. We can customize each cruise with décor, music, and any creative ideas you have in mind. If you need help planning your event, our experienced team is here to support you in creating the perfect experience. Our charters and tours depart daily from Harbor Island and last between 60 to 90 minutes, with longer cruises available upon request.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up as a quiet and observant girl, with a natural curiosity that led me to explore the outdoors whenever I could. Raised near the coast—first on Florida’s east shore, then California’s west, I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of the ocean and the adventures it inspired.
Although naturally reserved, I have always had a love for connecting with people and hearing their unique stories, a quality that has shaped me into the person I am today. Guided by the belief that life is short and should be lived to the fullest, I embrace every opportunity with passion and purpose. These values continue to drive me both personally and professionally.
