Hi Devin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In February of 2024, a new chapter in San Diego’s electric bike scene began at 1926 Bacon Street, San Diego, CA 92107. What started as the expansion of a fast-growing local business quickly evolved into something much bigger: a reimagined, full-scale electric bike destination built around service, selection, safety, and community. Today, that vision has grown even further with the opening of a second, larger location at 800 W Grand Ave, Suite C, Escondido, CA 92025, marking the official rebrand of the company as EBIKE SUPER SHOP.
The journey began at the end of 2023 when Bill Connard of Electric Bike Super Shop partnered with Devin Raymond of EZE Ryders Electric Bikes. Both shared a common goal: to build the most comprehensive, service-driven electric bike shop in Southern California. By combining operational experience, deep industry knowledge, and a passion for the cycling community, the partnership laid the groundwork for rapid growth in 2024 and beyond.
The Bacon Street location in Ocean Beach became the foundation. More than just a retail store, it was designed as a full-service electric bike shop in San Diego, offering sales, rentals, and professional eBike repair under one roof. Customers quickly discovered that this wasn’t a typical bike shop. The team focused on education, safety, and long-term support—helping riders choose the right Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3 street-legal electric bike, or guiding off-road enthusiasts toward high-performance electric dirt bikes for trail and private-land use.
As demand surged, the next step was clear. In late 2025, EBIKE SUPER SHOP opened its Escondido location, a significantly larger facility built to serve North County riders with expanded inventory and an even more advanced service department. The Escondido store now anchors the brand’s commitment to being the go-to electric bike store in Escondido, with easy access for commuters, families, and adventure riders alike.
Today, EBIKE SUPER SHOP proudly carries over 30 electric bike brands, covering every riding style—from beach cruisers and commuters to cargo bikes, performance eBikes, and off-road electric motorcycles. What truly sets the company apart, however, is its service department. With over 100 years of combined bike experience on staff, the shop services nearly all major electric bike brands, making it one of the most trusted eBike repair and service centers in San Diego County.
Safety and community remain at the core of everything the company does. From helmet education and proper bike setup to supporting local rides and cycling advocacy, EBIKE SUPER SHOP is committed to growing the local biking community responsibly and sustainably.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always struggles with any small business! 2025 was an especially challenging economic and political environment. Whether it be tariffs raising costs for bikes, parts, accessories, supply chain disruptions providing shortages of needed biking essentials, and insurance rates going through the roof – there is always a challenge that we as local business owners need to overcome. Lucky for us, were equipped to handle the bumpy roads!
We’ve been impressed with EBIKE SUPER SHOP, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
EBIKE SUPER SHOP is a full-service electric bike retailer specializing in eBike sales, service, and rentals with locations in San Diego (Ocean Beach) and Escondido, serving riders throughout San Diego County. We’re known for our service-first approach, expert staff, and long-term customer support—something that truly sets us apart in the electric bike industry.
While many shops focus only on sales, we’ve built our business around a top-tier service department, staffed by technicians with over 100 years of combined bike experience. We service nearly all major eBike brands, including bikes not purchased from us, making us a trusted resource for the local biking community.
