Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Grajeda.
Francisco, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be an architect. To me, architecture is the perfect balance between art and logic, which embraces almost every field of life.
I got started professionally in the field in 2015, working for a few architecture studios in Tijuana while at the same time focusing on finishing architecture school and freelancing a few design projects for a couple clients. This, as you could imagine, was a bit of a grind.
Finally, in 2019, after the opening of a coffee shop I just designed and built, with the support of my friends, family, and clients, I decided that it was time to follow my own path and open my studio, which started at first as F. Grajeda Studio (I know, creative).
Just a couple of years after that, after more than 50 finished projects and having grown to small yet successful firm with the help of my also architect girlfriend and now business partner Jacqueline, we decided that it was time for a change, which resulted in our current studio: Many Faces.
Many Faces is a Tijuana-based multidisciplinary studio that focuses on commercial and residential design and constructiong projects with a singular approach: Doing things differently.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Despite what one would think, it has being mostly a smooth road all the way since the start. We’ve had projects lined up ever since we started, and (hopefully) that won’t be stopping anytime soon. Even through the pandemic, we had endless support from our old and new clients, constantly coming up with ideas we could turn into realities.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Many Faces?
Many Faces is a multidisciplinary architecture firm that focused in commercial and residential architecture. We do everything from furniture and interior design all the way to construction management.
I like to think that we are known for solving problems or needs in a unique way, different from what you would usually find with other businesses in the area.
We are really proud of the clients we’ve got the opportunity to work with, small or big; they’ve all taught us something that made us better.
We offer different design and construction packages suited for all kinds of needs, and we’ll walk our clients through every step of our process till the finished product.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I like to think that I’ve always been some sort of a creator and avid learner, so any time I’d be drawing, building something, or just learning something new is a happy memory for me.
