Chef Geannie has a strong passion for being able to share the love of tasty vegan food. She specializes in tasty Caribbean-style vegan food, and you can’t forget about a tad of West Coast food culture also influenced in some dishes. Tropical Vegan Cafe is a culinary experience providing tasty brunch and dinner parties and healthy meal prep services. She first began this business due to the lack of full vegan friend Caribbean-style eateries or dining services in San Diego.
She first began selling regular street food at various events. Due to demand for more vegan and vegetarian options, she began to conduct more research and this eventually changed her life. During this time, her body started naturally rejecting animal products and getting terrible cramps whenever she did consume anything with animal products. After listening to her body, she cut out animal products from her diet and the cramps were gone. As a result, they’ve rebranded into Tropical Vegan Cafe, serving all plant-based dishes, with the mission of encouraging more individuals to eat more plant-based foods.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Biggest struggles would definitely have to be finding a perfect workplace to operate and conduct business and getting new and old clients to back after temporary closings! At the moment, it’s a one-man team, so it’s extremely challenging getting everything done to standard but never impossible!

We are most known for tasty Caribbean-style meals! We offer weekly meal prep services and personal chef services.
