Hi Irina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Irina Shilo, and I’m the owner of SHILO STUDIO.
My journey in the United States began ten years ago when I moved here from Israel.
Like many immigrants, I faced challenges — the language barrier, cultural differences, and the pressure to prove myself professionally. But these challenges didn’t break me; they shaped me.
I have a strong character.
I’m a Taurus — and when I see a goal, I don’t see obstacles.
My path wasn’t easy. There were many moments that could have stopped me, but none of them did. Every challenge only made me stronger.
My greatest support has always been my family — my loving husband and my children — who believed in me even when I doubted myself. And, of course, my clients. They were the ones who didn’t let me give up when times were difficult. Their loyalty, trust, and encouragement kept me moving forward.
When I arrived in the United States, the American dream inspired me. I wanted to create something meaningful. And very quickly, I saw a major gap in the beauty industry — the level of manicure service, hygiene, and technique was far behind what I was used to.
That’s when I realized my mission: to introduce Russian manicure, a technique known worldwide for its precision, professionalism, and immaculate cleanliness.
Russian manicure is all about aesthetics, attention to detail, and perfect cleanliness — it’s not just a service, it’s an art.
I started from the very bottom.
I created a small Facebook page and offered mobile manicure services, driving to clients’ homes. That’s how I built my reputation — through honesty, dedication, and consistent quality. I worked like this for five years, and during COVID I continued from home, never stopping or losing faith.
In 2021, I opened my own studio.
Today, Shilo Studio is not just a salon — it’s a community.
This profession is my dream. It brings together incredible women, creates friendships, builds connections, and opens doors to a world filled with communication, empowerment, and beauty.
And my team… my team is everything.
These are people who are true professionals — people who genuinely love their craft, care about their clients, and find joy in making others feel beautiful and appreciated.
In the beauty industry, this is everything: attitude, respect, kindness, and professionalism.
