Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Kullman.
Hi Jamie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got started in the most unconventional way… selling automotive parts I found in a dumpster on eBay. I was young, scrappy, and obsessed with finding ways to make money without relying on a 9-to-5. That one listing led to another, and before I knew it, I was building my first six-figure business from a laptop with zero formal training, just pure drive and resourcefulness.
Fast forward to today, I’ve spent the last 8+ years helping entrepreneurs simplify and scale. I’ve built a multiple six-figure coaching business, launched a global top 1% podcast, and now run one of the top communities on Skool. We help purpose-driven entrepreneurs step into leadership while their systems: membership sites, funnels, and CRMs, sell their offers on autopilot. So much of this is thanks to my partner (in life and business) Dr. Stephen Buscema who has made his sole focus serving our community members and growing our tribe – we are where we are today because of much of the work he’s done to serve our members and get our mission out there.
What started with flipping parts turned into a mission: helping people create freedom-based businesses that feel aligned, simple, and scalable. I believe business should support your life, not consume it. That’s the work we do now – empowering entrepreneurs to grow from a place of clarity, authenticity, and automation.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, no, it’s been anything but smooth. What I didn’t realize when I started was that entrepreneurship isn’t just about building a business; it’s a mirror. It reveals every fear, belief, pattern, and insecurity you didn’t even know you had. It’s a full-on personal development journey disguised as business growth.
I’ve had seasons of burnout, doubt, and wondering if I was even cut out for this. I had to learn, sometimes the hard way, that building a successful business isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing the right things at the right time. I had to unlearn hustle culture and lean into trust, boundaries, and building systems that allow me to actually live the life I was working so hard for.
Trading money for time was a big one. I used to do everything myself. Now I lead a team, and that’s stretched me more than any course or book ever could. It’s taught me to communicate clearly, delegate with trust, and keep the vision bigger than any one person… including me.
Even in coaching, I’ve grown so much. It’s one thing to guide others, but it’s another to live in integrity with what you teach. I’ve had to become the kind of leader I’d want to hire. The kind of coach I’d want to be coached by. The kind of person I want my son to look up to.
This path has shaped every part of who I am, far beyond business. It’s made me a better mother, partner, leader, and human. So no, it hasn’t been smooth. But it’s been the most rewarding road I could’ve chosen.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about La Jolla is its natural beauty and charm. There’s something magical about being in a city that blends ocean views, coastal cliffs, and walkable village energy. One of my favorite things was watching the seals while the sun set over the beach, it’s peaceful and unforgettable.
What I like least? Definitely the traffic. For such a relaxed, coastal town, it can get pretty congested, especially during peak hours. But honestly, the scenery makes it worth it.
