Today we’d like to introduce you to Juan Zamarripa.
Hi Juan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I am an M.D. surgeon, certified in Biological Medicine, and founder of ZRG Detox, Inc. I work directly with people with degenerative diseases such as cancer. ZRG Detox, Inc. was born in Calexico, CA with the vision of creating a unique product for patients going through chemotherapy. The company and product created was inspired by a young girl going through chemotherapy who was struggling to eat; therefore, she had low energy most of the time. As a doctor, I was able to see there was no medication to assist for side effects such as nausea and vomiting without additional side effects. I realized patients were dealing with constant nausea and vomiting that they needed a product to relieve those side effects without causing more issues that interfere with the ability to have quality of life while going through chemotherapy. PreQuimm is the first product ZRG Detox, Inc. was able to produce for patients dealing with side effects such as nausea and vomiting. It has been a long journey, but definitely worth it. It has been tested in patients with cancer, and it has been effective. I was able to create such a unique product that patients are able to access it without a prescription, and FDA authorized and currently patent pending.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have been some challenges, such as getting all the documentation and trials done in time to submit it to the FDA for review and approval. I also endured some financial challenges at the beginning, but with the right team, I was able to get through it. I am very grateful for my team and know that there will be constant obstacles, but nothing is impossible. We were also hit with the pandemic, but we were relieved after we got in touch with production, and they said we would continue everything as planned. So, our production never stopped, and we were able to continue to sell the product.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about ZRG Detox, Inc.?
ZRG Detox, Inc. was born with the purpose of collaborating with other doctors. The purpose was to get a team of doctors who will be part of the testing portion in oncological centers. The vision is to help the community. The goal of ZRG Detox, Inc. is to not only be another company, but a company that reflects health, the value of life, and the importance of a good quality of life regardless of a medical condition. ZRG Detox, Inc. was able to create PreQuimm, which is the product for patients going through chemotherapy to temporarily relieve nausea and vomiting. This product is still at a local level across Imperial Valley, CA, San Diego, CA, Mexicali, BC., Mexico. It is currently in the process of being promoted across the United States so that every patient can benefit from the product.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned many lessons throughout the journey. One of the most important lessons is to be aware of the importance of a great team. One person cannot manage every aspect of a company, so by delegating specific roles to the team, the team has grown tremendously. Our production team is very receptive and continue to take orders regardless of how many units we need to produce by a specific date. I’ve also learned to be humble in the whole experience. To take advice from others who have more time in business, and to listen to my lawyers and apply the information. I’ve learned that it is not easy nor fast to get a company moving in the right direction, but with patience and with the right people working by my side it has been possible. But the most important lesson is that quality of life is not negotiable. Every human, every person, patient deserves the best care and to have quality of life.
