Hi Kanita, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I am on a lifelong journey of personal growth, honoring and exploring the globe, and the study of hospitality on a cultural and global spectrum. I am where I am today by owning my authenticity, asking for help on my weaknesses, and by letting go of any stress that was simply not mine or had nothing directly to do with me. I arrived where I am by doing something I don’t see some of the younger generation doing often. I paid my dues, I carried my weight, and paved my own way. I maintain a high moral standard, and I add value with impact. I have come to realize. I also have really good tunnel vision. When I combine that with my creative side, I start movements. In my case, I feel like I’ve created a tribe of people who value what they put in their body. At the same time, they responsibly indulge during special occasions and life’s milestones.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to finding and attracting my target market has not been hard at all. However, keeping up with the demand while making compliance my top priority has been my biggest struggle in maintaining staff since I deal with strict alcohol beverage control laws. Noncompliance with public health and safety practices and California labor laws are non-negotiable for us. It’s mandatory everyone on our team values and maintains our privilege to be trusted by the state to serve responsibly and legally.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Tulip Coupe Novelty Gift Shop Registry?
May 1st, 2024, I launched an online gift treasury for special occasions and corporations. We now offer novelty celebratory-related gifts online that are perfect for bridal-related events and activities, graduations, as well and corporate gift-giving.
The Tulip Coupe is an online gifting haven named after one of my favorite coupe glasses. Coupe glasses were initially created to enjoy champagne. For me, champagne represents celebrations and special occasions. Since our objective is to enhance special occasions, we are expanding in that area.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the gifting industry becoming more creative, custom and digitalized. We love our loved ones and are looking for new and creative ways to tell and show each other we love them.
