Hi Katrina , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story is one of faith, resilience, and reinvention. I’m a single mother of six — three adults and three teenagers — and I returned to college later in life as a full-time student. One of my children has autism, which has taught me patience, advocacy, and the importance of inclusion in every space I create.
I started Elevated Etiquette by Katrina as a way to teach grace, confidence, and presence — not just table manners, but life etiquette rooted in self-worth and purpose. What began as etiquette coaching has grown to include date planning experiences, and luxury lifestyle services. My vision is always to uplift and create memorable, meaningful moments for others.
From there, I was inspired to launch The Luxe Laundry & Café, a unique, community-minded laundromat that blends hospitality, technology, and comfort. I also founded Luxe Vending Services, a teen-run family venture designed to teach entrepreneurship to my children.
I’ve had to overcome major personal and financial challenges, but I hold onto my faith in Jesus Christ and the belief that I was created for more. Every venture I pursue reflects my desire to serve others, create beauty, and show what’s possible — especially for women of color, single mothers, and anyone starting over.
Today, I’m still learning, still building, and still trusting God with every next step.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has definitely had its challenges, but each obstacle helped shape my purpose and refine my vision.
As a single mother of six — three of whom are still teenagers — I’ve had to navigate life with limited time, resources, and support. One of my children is on the autism spectrum, which has taught me to lead with patience, compassion, and adaptability — qualities that now guide how I build businesses and serve others. My oldest son graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Statistics. I am very proud of all of my children.
Going back to college at my age while raising a family and launching multiple ventures required unwavering faith and grit. There were times when I questioned whether I had the capacity to pursue my dreams — especially while juggling parenting, coursework, and the demands of entrepreneurship. I’ve faced financial hardship, emotional exhaustion, and seasons where I had to operate solely on faith.
But it was in those difficult seasons that I found my “why.” Elevated Etiquette was born from a desire to restore dignity and self-worth in others. The Luxe Laundry & Café was inspired by a vision to create beautiful, community-focused spaces that provide comfort, connection, and care. Luxe Vending Services is a family-run venture that gives my children hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and ownership.
Most importantly, my journey has ignited a passion to give back — especially to communities that may never be able to repay me. I believe in offering excellence, dignity, and compassion without conditions. Whether it’s hosting free laundry days for the unhoused or creating inclusive events for special needs families, I see it as a calling — not a marketing strategy. Giving without expectation is part of my legacy.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it has been intentional, faith-filled, and deeply rewarding.

We specialize in luxury date planning services for couples and families — helping people slow down, reconnect, and create meaningful moments through thoughtfully curated romantic and family experiences.
From elegant picnics and private dining to theme park date days and family bonding outings, every experience is customized with attention to detail and a touch of timeless etiquette. We believe in elevating everyday moments into beautiful memories — no stress, no guesswork, just connection and joy.
Under the same umbrella, I’ve launched The Luxe Laundry & Café, a modern, community-minded space that merges high-tech laundry services with a cozy café atmosphere. We host “Free Laundry & Café Days” for those in need, giving back to a community that may never be able to give back to us — and that’s intentional.
Luxe Vending Services, our family-run vending business, is operated by my teenagers. It’s part of my mission to equip them with real-life entrepreneurial experience, teaching them the values of ownership, responsibility, and service.
What sets us apart is the heart behind every service. Whether it’s planning a surprise anniversary date or offering a safe, clean laundry space, our goal is to uplift others with excellence. I’m proud that our brand represents purpose-driven luxury — rooted in faith, family, and the desire to serve.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Yes — start where you are, with what you have, and trust that it’s enough.
One of the biggest myths is that you have to have everything figured out before you begin. You don’t. You just need a willing heart, a clear vision, and the courage to take the first step — even if it’s small. I wish I had known earlier that perfection is not required for progress. Some of the most powerful lessons come from trying, failing, learning, and adjusting along the way.
Also, don’t wait for support, applause, or permission. Sometimes the people closest to you won’t understand your calling — and that’s okay. Keep going anyway. God will send the right people at the right time. Stay rooted in your “why,” especially on the days when results don’t come quickly.
Be consistent. Be teachable. Ask questions. Read, research, and surround yourself with people who stretch you. And finally — give yourself grace. You’re allowed to grow slowly and still be impactful. The road won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.
