As a husband and wife team, our journey with koibooth began over six years ago with a passionate vision: to create inviting spaces where people could unwind, express themselves freely, and share genuine moments of joy. Our inspiration sprang from our experiences in the wedding industry, where couples often sought to enhance their celebrations with a photobooth. Encouraged by their trust and our deep love for preserving memories, we decided to embark on the ambitious task of crafting our originial koibooth from the ground up.

From the outset, our commitment to excellence was unwavering. As seasoned photographers, we insisted that every photograph taken in our booth upheld our rigorous standards of quality and professionalism. This dedication not only laid the cornerstone of our business but also empowered us to refine our setup over time, ensuring each captured moment shines with clarity and brilliance, thanks to our use of a DSLR camera and flash.

koibooth has since traveled far and wide across California and beyond, becoming an integral part of countless celebrations. Each event we’ve been honored to be a part of stands as a testament to our journey—a journey marked by laughter, connection, and the privilege of immortalizing life’s most beautiful moments. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Running koibooth hasn’t been without its challenges. Starting and managing a small business demands an immense amount of effort and patience.One of our ongoing challenges has been staying attuned to current trends and navigating a fiercely competitive market.

However, despite these challenges, our passion for what we do keeps us going strong. The joy we experience when a guest collects their printed photo and shares a heartfelt story—like it being their only current family portrait—is truly priceless. Moments like these reaffirm why we started koibooth in the first place and make all the hard work worthwhile.

We are Kelli and Khoi, proud owners of a local photo booth business called koibooth based in sunny San Diego, CA. What sets us apart is our commitment to delivering high-quality images and capturing unforgettable moments at every event we attend. Our passion lies in providing exceptional service from start to finish. We understand the stress that comes with event planning, and our goal is to make the entire process as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Each booking also includes a backdrop of your choice and seamless setup and breakdown.

Joining various photo booth Facebook groups has been incredibly beneficial. These groups provide a platform where fellow photo booth operators share experiences, tips, and troubleshoot common issues. It’s a supportive community where we can quickly get advice and help others facing similar challenges. Networking through these groups has not only expanded our knowledge base but also connected us with industry peers who share our passion for delivering exceptional service.

We also highly recommend proactive networking at events. Whenever we attend an event, whether it’s a wedding, corporate gathering, or community celebration, we make it a point to engage with guests. We enjoy discussing our services, sharing our enthusiasm for what we do, and ensuring we have business cards and all the necessary booking information readily available. This approach has proven effective in converting casual conversations into potential leads and partnerships.
