Today we’d like to introduce you to Mimi And Haleigh Kotter.
Hi Mimi and Haleigh, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re sisters, and in some ways, our story has been years in the making. Haleigh’s background is in emergency medicine — she’s an ER physician — and Mimi spent her career in the marketing side of medical device companies. We’d always dreamed of starting a business together, but it wasn’t until the COVID pandemic that we decided to take the leap. At the time, the mental health crisis was at an all-time high, and we saw an opportunity to make a real impact. We opened a ketamine infusion therapy clinic to help patients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. The demand was immediate and overwhelming, and our clinic quickly became very busy.
As we grew, we expanded our services as a medical spa offering injectables and laser treatments, and that side of the business took off faster than we could have imagined. Four years later, we have an incredible team of nurses, physicians, and administrators — and a loyal community of patients we truly love.
Today, we’re focused on the next chapter: wellness, longevity, and preventative care. We’re introducing peptides, anti-aging treatments, and weight loss therapies to help our patients feel their best inside and out. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re just getting started.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like most small business owners, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges. We had to quickly learn the ebb and flow of demand for our services — including the seasonal slow periods when fewer people seek treatments — and adapt our operations accordingly. Sourcing products and medical-grade materials wasn’t always easy, especially during the supply chain shortages in the pandemic’s aftermath.
On top of that, navigating the complex regulations of opening and running a medical practice was a steep learning curve, from compliance requirements to licensing and safety protocols. And, of course, managing a growing team of nurses, physicians, and administrators comes with its own set of challenges. Each obstacle has pushed us to become more resourceful, strategic, and intentional about how we run the business — and in the long run, those lessons have made us stronger.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Our business began during the pandemic with a focus on innovative treatments like Ketamine Infusion Therapy to support patients struggling with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. While ketamine therapy remains an important part of our offerings, our practice has grown far beyond that initial scope. Today, we provide a full spectrum of services in both wellness and aesthetics, backed by a highly trained team of physicians, nurses, and clinical trainers dedicated to safe, evidence-based care.
Over time, we expanded into aesthetic medicine — offering injectables, laser treatments, and other medical spa services — but we’ve always maintained a conservative, patient-centered approach. We believe aesthetics is a journey, not a quick fix. Our goal is to help patients understand the process, make informed decisions, and develop a long-term plan that helps them look and feel their best in a natural, authentic way.
What sets us apart is the balance between medical expertise and genuine connection. Whether we’re treating a patient for depression or helping them with a skincare plan, we focus on safety, education, and building relationships that last. Brand-wise, we’re most proud of the trust we’ve earned from our community — many of our patients have been with us for years, and they refer their friends and family because they know they’ll be cared for like they’re part of ours.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We love connecting with our community — both through patient care and creative collaborations. We’re always looking for partners in the wellness, beauty, and healthcare spaces who share our passion for helping people feel their best, whether that’s through co-hosted events, educational workshops, or unique service offerings.
Of course, we also welcome new patients who are curious about our services or ready to start their own wellness and aesthetics journey. Whether someone is seeking guidance on mental health treatments, wanting to explore injectables or laser therapy, or interested in our wellness and longevity programs, our team is here to provide safe, thoughtful, and personalized care.
The best way to support us is simple — connect, share, and spread the word. Follow us on social media, attend our events, refer friends and family, or just stop by and say hello. We truly value the relationships we’ve built in our community and are excited to keep growing together.
