Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Kaeswith.
Nikki, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My area of focus has always been in commercial branding and design, particularly in the retail, restaurant and hospitality space. I started off helping small business owners in the Los Angeles community to build and translate their brands into their commercial interior spaces. One project led to another: from local restaurants to retail space in another state; from trade shows in Las Vegas to ski resorts in Mammoth and hotels in Chiangmai; from a cruise ship in Germany to office building in Canada; from residential towers in Dubai to shopping center in Macau, all in different parts of the world.
Within a few years of helping our clients develop a story of their brands and providing custom branding solutions, Kaeswith Group was born in 2000. Since then, we have been creating branded environments that visually communicate company culture and elevate the customer experience. Our clients range from small start-up business owners to c-level executives at some of the most well-known international brands in fashion, jewelry, finance and hospitality.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Working on projects in different parts of the world can be challenging in terms of material sourcing and adapting to the culture and work style of the crew in each region. Traveling to a different time zone within a very short period of time can make the journey quite exhausting. In light of this, I have adapted my mindset for success to stay focused on solving any problems that come my way from the moment I land. With this experience, I’ve developed a holistic approach that focuses on the details while simultaneously thinking of the big picture.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our service: Interior Branding, Brand Design and Marketing.
We specialize in building authentic, custom brands from the ground up that define the story at the core of a brand, architect an empathetic identity from that story, bring the identity to life through language and visual design, and execute a strategy to integrate it into a holistic and impactful brand experience.
What sets us apart from others is our ability to help our clients turn their businesses around and become very successful through rebranding. We are also helping our existing clients build a deep connection between a brand and its audience.
We are most proud when our work has touched the brand’s audience in ways that make a positive impact in their lives. We’ve helped clients extend their brand not only into their interior commercial space but also into the lives of their clients in the most memorable and meaningful ways.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My #1 advice would be not to worry about your competitors. Instead, have a solid understanding of your brand and a clear vision of who your dream client is. What you bring to the table is unique and something that no one can take away. People may imitate you, but no one can take away your creativity and uniqueness.
My next advice would be to learn effective delegation of tasks. It’s very important to know what your strengths are and build a team that complements those.
Recognize the talent of each individual team member: respect, trust and empower each member to shine and respond to the best of their abilities.
