Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Da Silva.
Hi Paul, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been self-employed as a photographer since May of 1980. Always specializing in working with kids in dance studios in Southern California and many other parts of the nation. Have camera will travel. Today, we have a small team of freelance photographers and support staff, and we provide photography for dance studios all over So Cal.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been fun despite the challenges of logistically projecting a photo studio into the field with a few hundred pounds of photo gear per shoot, often long shoot schedules, and staffing challenges. Even customer support has been challenging, but we’ve persevered and continue to progress in all these areas.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Da Silva Studio provides photography to dance studios. Our subjects are mainly children and teens. Our look comprises beautiful lighting, capturing personality and technique and providing an atmosphere of fun and creativity during the sessions. We also take pride in our customer support, giving us many satisfied and repeat customers.
