Today we’d like to introduce you to Reed Hahn.
Hi Reed, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
A close family friend owned a large electric company in Las Vegas. As a boy, I watched him grow his business and have a part in building some of the most prevalent buildings and hotels in Vegas.
He helped me get into the union right out of high school. Over the last twenty years, I’ve worked for small and large electric companies, helped build homes, hospitals and bars.
I started my own business three years ago to continue to grow and help the San Diego community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No ha! The hardest part of owning Hahn electric is going from “in the field installer” to manage many of the administrative needs to lead my own business.
I need to wear and juggle daily – owner, installer, project manager. I always want to be the best in whatever I do, and there’s a steep learning curve. I’ve learned to ask good questions.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Hahn Electric, Inc.?
I specialize in custom home builds and renovations. I often work with a great general contractor and designer and love the opportunity to show homeowners and businesses how lighting can enhance your space.
The difference between me and other businesses is that I personally walk the job, help design and install. I take accountability for high quality and am driven to make sure my clients are happy.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up in a small town in Florida – Niceville. Everyday was an adventure – exploring the forest, catching fireflies and just being a kid.
