Hi Shiva, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am the Co-Founder and COO of Melograno Cocktails, an award-winning luxury beverage brand gaining national distribution. Melograno has been my main focus for the last 2.5 years. My journey didn’t start in the beverage industry – I have 2 degrees in Biology and 2 degrees in Dentistry.
For 11 years of my adult life, I was a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist and Educator. My professional philosophy centers on innovation, creativity, sustainability, and adaptability. These values align closely with my growth and where I am today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced several significant challenges along the way. Launching a new product line amidst supply chain, budgeting, and marketing was the first struggle, and then building a team to help execute your vision has been particularly tough.
Despite obstacles, I’ve taken proactive steps to overcome them, like seeking mentorship, identifying alternative suppliers to ensure the project stayed on track, and working overtime to scout, interview, and train team members.
