Inspiring Conversations with Suzette Hidalgo of Snatched San Diego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzette Hidalgo.

Suzette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey as an entrepreneur started in 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic while I was pregnant with my 4th child. I remember I took one of my trainings just days before my due date. When we first went into lockdown, people panicked but I took the opportunity to start building my empire. Prior to this I had been working for a Marketing company for the past 6 years and I still currently work there.

In July of 2020, I started out by selling magnetic lashes and then was introduced to the non-invasive body sculpting industry. I have always been fascinated with the aesthetic industry and had a vision of how I wanted to create my brand not only for the moment but for years to come. I wasn’t just creating a brand, I was creating a lifestyle. My background in Marketing kicked in full speed and started to showcase my brand to all of my friends and family on social media. I offered free services to start building my content and to show the skeptics that it really works. I had to convince myself as well because there was just no way that you can get these type of results from this little machine (so I thought). I would never offer something that does not work, but I was quickly convinced that this was it. This is what I wanted to do. From there, it took off!

I started building my portfolio and continued to market myself on social media (mainly Instagram). Everything was going great until I hit a rough patch mid year in 2021. I started my business with a partner but later decided that it was best to part ways. Because of this decision, I left the brand that I had worked so hard on behind and quickly had to re-brand myself to what you know now as Snatched San Diego. I tried to make the transition as seamless as possible but lost potential clients due to the confusion it caused. The following I had built on Instagram was no longer in my possession so I had to start from scratch. But I was quickly able to recover and surpass with a positive mindset. I couldn’t be any happier.

I am constantly learning and evolving and as my business grows, I grow. This industry is fast paced and highly competitive now that it has gotten more recognition and promoted by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian. I am always taking new trainings and adding new services to keep up with the demand and to provide the best possible service and RESULTS to all of my clients.

My little business is still growing and I am launching 2 new branches in 2022. Snatched San Diego Academy will offer training and certification to anyone looking to start their journey to owning a non-invasive body sculpting business. Snatched San Diego Creative will offer marketing and design services. I am currently looking to build referral partnerships with other professionals in various industries to create a broad network of services and have a one-stop shop for all of my clients. So when you think of Snatched San Diego, you don’t just think of body sculpting, you think of empowerment.

Business aside, I have a beautiful family and I am always on the GO! My kids ages range from 1-15. They are the ones that keep me motivated to go above and beyond. To set that bar high and show them that there are no limits to what they can accomplish.

I am excited for what the future holds because this is only the beginning for me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a roller coaster ride to be completely honest. This process is not for the weak. Trying to establish myself in this industry and finding my niche has been one of the biggest challenges. Also just finding the time to do what I need to do has been hard being a mother of 4 and also working a job outside of this.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer non-invasive body sculpting and other beauty enhancing services. This is a place where people can come in and get amazing results without the risk of having to undergo surgery or experience any pain. All of my services have zero downtime and are highly effective with proper aftercare. My goal for every client is to have them walk out feeling more confident and comfortable in their body.

I also offer some products that I make that can help with aftercare such as slimming gels, body scrubs, osmotic body wraps, waist trainers and of course some Snatched SD Swag.

If there is a demand for a product or service that I hear from my clients, I am always open to adding more options. Especially if it will help achieve better results.

What sets my business apart from others is that I always give realistic expectations and I truly care about producing results. I’m not just a “hustler” who only cares about getting paid. Prior to booking an appointment for anyone, I make sure they are educated in the service they are coming in for and answer any questions to the best of my knowledge without pressure of them having to book. Not everyone is an ideal candidate for these services and what may work for one person might not work for the other. I personally book my appointments and don’t just send you to a booking site.

Another thing that sets my business apart is that I would never market or showcase any services or products that I know don’t work or don’t feel confident about. I have been in the industry for over a year now and have seen a lot of deceiving information from other similar businesses that I would not stand behind. I customize services based off my clients needs and my techniques have been proven to work. I have a 5 star rating on Google for anyone that would like to see real reviews from real people.

I am a very humble person and don’t claim to know it all or be the best in the industry, however, I strive to be top-notch. If there is something I don’t offer or can’t offer, I happily refer clients to someone else that can help them even if they are a competitor. San Diego has a population of about 1.4 million and I believe there is enough bread for all of us to eat so it’s important to uplift and empower eachother.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have learned a lot about this business by spending countless hours researching, networking, joining groups on Facebook, and getting trained by different professionals in the industry to learn various techniques. It took a lot of time, patience, energy, emotions, and of course money to get my business to what it is today.

One of my biggest supporters has been my husband. He helped invest in my first machine and has since offered his help with anything I need to stay operational. Not to mention countless hours that he’s spent taking care of the kids while I attended clients. My oldest daughters have also been amazing helpers and I am so grateful for the strong support system within my immediate family.

I have to also give credit to my friends, family and clients that have sent words of encouragement, promoted my business, gave a testimonial, or sent me a referral because that’s how my business has been able to grow. Without them, I would not be credible and would be struggling trying to get people through the door.
