Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Guzman.
Hi Tracy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I moved from Costa Rica 6 and a half year ago. I started working as a Dental Assistant, but I never felt completely happy doing that. I really enjoy making people (specially women) feel confident being exactly what they are, and also, I wanted to have my own business, so I started thinking on what can I do so I can have both, so that’s when I started beauty school. I went to beauty school at nighttime, I kept working as a Dental Assistant full-time until 6 months after I opened my business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. My big struggle, in the beginning, was creating my own clientele and try to keep those clients coming; that’s definitely still a struggle since in this business you never stop hustling.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Traes Skin Studio?
Traes Skin Studio is a skincare studio, I specialize in acne, so I only do skin treatments. When I created Traes Skin Studio, I did it thinking on those people who want to feel confident being themselves, for real people, common people like you or like me. One appointment at my studio is a whole experience; you’ll feel relaxed but also will get amazing results for your skin so can leave feeling empowered and feeling like you can take whatever life throws at you. As I mentioned before I specialize in Acne, so I offer an acne program for those struggling with acne and to control that acne without the need of harsh medications. I feel very proud of program since I can offer help to those struggling with their skin for years and just seen them looking at their clear skin is the best feeling.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I don’t know if it’s surprising, but I love to listen to podcasts whenever I’m by myself, sometimes I get very serious about learning about business and continuing education but other times I just listen to something very light like a comedy podcast, but I love to be listening to something all the time
