Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Annelise Day of U.S.A.

Annelise Day shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Annelise, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Walking along the beach, hiking around waterfalls, swimming in the river and soaking up Sun are some ways I like to feel joy and stay grounded.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My brother and I have a company called Effect Local where we work together bringing small businesses new customers through online marketing strategies. We love what we do and make an impact in communities all across the U.S.A. This is my main source of work and focus for expansion.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My mother and father taught me the most about work and how to be a dedicated, reliable person. They showed me through they own actions what strong work ethic is, how to show up with people and ways to be kind and effective.

What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
One thing I have changed through hardships is how I approach goals and plans. Staying patient, taking things one step at a time and trusting the process to outcome are some ways I integrated this change.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say my family and supporting people matters most to me. Helping in ways I can is how my friends would say I show my care in action.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If immortality were real, what would you build?
I would build sustainable structures and sourcing for people to get all of their needs met – housing, education, medicine, etc.
